i've bought a couple of 1000d's from ***. They ship directly from Sundown and are packaged for shipment really well. If you purchase today, expect the order to be processed Monday or Tuesday. You will probably have your amp on Friday or the following monday thanks to UPS' slow ass. You cant go wrong buying from ***.

Upgraded Electric
kandiman71874 replied to caddylac's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
easiest way to check that thing to see if it is the draw with a stuck regulator is to just unhook it, regulator side first and if that dont get it then the B+ on it. Obviously if that dont get it, move on to something else. its a long ass game of elimination its just to bad it isnt as much fun as playing naked twister with nothing but yourself and all females lol -

the problem you run into with conventional battery, starter draw, and alternator loading equipment such as the VAT 45 is that it cant test a diode trio that has been beefed with 8 diodes which is common in a HO alt. it will flag a bad diode reading everytime. -

All i had to see was the band name and song title and i knew that the women is pissed. Give her a little time to cool off and absorb the situation and i am sure things will come around but only as long as she knows the whole story. -

ecspecially considering the gastank is right up against the back seat in the trunk. i've seen this done b4 and its a awesome deal but you will need to get a little more familiar with fiberglass before trying it. Where the armrests are for the rear passengers, inbetween them and the window there is a rather large area that an enclosure can be built into and there is enough room for 2 8's perside. jump in the back seat, look between the bottom of the window and where the armrest panel meets the seat and start invisioning an enclosure behine the panel with grill gloth covered grills. just a thought anyway... -
another thing to remember currently is they are back logged at the moment with the influx of orders that came in when the Q's were put back on the site after they ran out of motors. The massive amount of orders has put them to more of a 7-10 day build time as was stated in the email i recieved shortly after ordering my ssd 10. be patient, it will show up..

another famous rust out place on those is the rear frame rail behind the drivers side tire. i know, odd ass place since most are one wheel peel and its the right rear that spins, but check it out, i've had 3 of them and still currently own an 86 Gutlass and they are notorious for the frames rotting away back there. best thing to do would to pay a shop to get it up on a rack and go over it. have the service manager escort you out to the shop and get a good look around under it. the tech can check the mechanicals, but its best if you see the condition of the frame and the floor pan seems yourself. good luck man, looks like a decent gutlass for the cash if all is solid about it. oh yeah, look for bolt holes in pairs around the transmission tunnel on each side of the driveshaft. being it has hood pins, if there are bolt holes in a few spots right behind the transmission tailshaft, its an indication it had a driveshaft saftey loop in it and that it has been some ones street rod in the past.
