  1. I have two D1 12" mayhems. they are in great shape, no abnormal damage. surrounds have no holes. they have never been reconed and I am the original owner. I'll snap some pics when someone is interested. I want D2 12" mayhems or BTLs. maybe N2s. Really not interested in anything else but you could try. I wont consider any downgrades. We pay for our own shipping.
  2. most SPL, loudest burp, best SQ, flattest frequency response. what are you trying to maximize? see why its a vague question?
  3. oh ya, that box. i still say it looks way too close to the back hatch.
  4. the answer is: no, you are not getting the full potential out of your equipment. i dont need to see a single thing to know that. but not providing any information and a vague question wont get you any help.
  5. ive never been a fan of lowered trucks. trucks are supposed to be big workhorses. not little things that are scared of speed bumps and driveways. thats my point of view.
  6. there is a local woodworking shop around here called the sawdust shop. you pay to use their equipment and they have a laser engraver for plexi. you design what you want to go on your plexi, load it on their computer and it will make it for you. maybe there is a place like that in your area.
  7. He didn't change anything... it works while you own it, then stops working one week after a new guy owns it... i would bet he did something to it.
  8. recovering from sinus surgery on my birthday. woot.

  9. i have bad news. in the test fit it looks like the box is too close to the back hatch. measure the distance from port to hatch. you should be at least 6" away.
  10. you either adapt to what is clearly wrong, however most common. or you commit to being an example for change and hope you inspire someone else to do the same. sadly, most people lack the courage and honor might as well be Latin.
  11. finished the computer a little while ago. i got impatient and just bought what i still needed. the CPU turned out to be an i7 quad core 3.4ghz. ended up with a 160gb SSD. since this goes behind my TV I got a wireless keyboard and mouse. whipped this little board up real quick. also made a wrist rest but it turned out a little big lol.
  12. very Half-Life of you. I like where your mind is at.
  13. cool. ill tell the GF to request the day off.
  14. i dont have audio but i dont see anything about zombies... did say the guy was eater her. on a side note, the stupid people leaving comments scares me more than the murder.
  15. correct. i knew what i was saying when i said it lol. very few amps have a crossover that can be used for just a tweeter. and we didnt even ask if anything else is wired to that amp or just tweets.
  16. no crossover, that should be your problem. your playing the tweeters too low and fucking them up. im surprised they still work.
  17. Alright, i'll look for it. There are a few 3000's out there right now, i'd like to get a hold of one if my M3a is going to keep smoking itself. fyi, the rare DC 3k and crescendo 3k are both the same board as the sundown 3k. might help you find a good deal. i ran my 1500s at .5ohm strapped. 3ks at .5ohm each. i have faith in them.
  18. the 3ks were stout. from what i remember you could get 3400 if you could keep it at 1ohm. jacob had a really great thread on clamp tests on one forum. it might still be around if you do some google searching.
  19. so they have a protection circuit for a low nominal load but you can still run them at a low nominal load? that didnt make sense lol. if some competitors want to PM me instead of risking putting the info on the internet (a scary thing to do, I know) please do. I would like to know if I can do to these amps, what I did to the old zenon amps.
  20. those 3ks were made in a different build house. I dont know if the X500 stuff will go that low. although I imagine it will. anyways, my best rule of thumb for going below 1ohm is; if you can afford to replace the amp, go for it. if you cant afford a new amp, dont try it.
