it belonged to a little girl the best part of the competition was one of these little toy cars had a little girl competing against her dad in his minivan. dad scored higher and the judge walks over to the girl, says "oh no, your beating your dad today" picks up the mic and sticks it in the port. she burped higher than her dad's score at the very last second. lol priceless.

lol he wanted to see the video today just to see his own reaction. im going to teach him how to fiberglass tomorrow by making me some new pods.

if your just going off the website then they dont have one for my car either... but i have a dc alt in my car lol. call them and ask. dc makes the strongest alts. mechman is the only other company i would trust. and db electric... we have seen guys come here with alt problems from them. some of the alts do less power at idle than your stock alt and actually underpower the car. even without a system.

its not just the size of the wire, its how long it is. a couple feet of 4awg can take 2000w but a full 15ft run wont. do yourself a favor and go to bcae1.com click on "wire" on the right. i think its number 17. itll tell you everything you need to know. but in the game of overkill, as you put it, a lot of companies do use 1/0 inputs. others use 4awg. probably because they know these are not amps for competition. they will get music and as we all know, music is dynamic. 90% of the time the amp wont be pulling its max current so 1/0 is especially not needed. but another plus side to bigger wire is; its made of copper. copper stores electricity. having more copper acts like a little capacitor. just a little more burst energy to help run the system.

x2 4awg should not take 2k through 15ft of wire but will do just fine with 5ft from the distro block or back battery.

its all a learning process man. each time you do it, itll get better and better. the 3rd time i touched fiberglass, i made my door pods.

hes using pvc. 15sq in or port per cube will be just fine.

pioneer will have the best features for the price.

you wont have a problem with PVC the way you have it planned out. just make sure there is at least 6" on both ends, for that port to breathe.

you can keep dabbing at it with the brush to keep it down. i usually use those foam brushes just because they are the cheapest. they dont give me many problems, until they start to fall apart. but with that link, im sure ill use those brushes next time. thats a good find. the cheap plastic roller brushes do a great job. gets rid of all the air bubbles.

i dont really like either spot. i drilled and tapped my own hole on a thick piece of metal.
