thats not a bad amp it depends on ur budget... like the hifonics Brutus amps myself there affordable and do rated + durable ill look into hifonics buddy of mine used to have one and he liked it alot and so did i ok hifonics r really affordable i kinda like the looks too if i got this amp is it bridgeable? or could i just hook each coil up to its own set of outputs since ill be running it at 1 ohm Hifonics BXi 1610D and whats phase and level is just the gain right? you will not need to try to bridge it ...it cant be bridged...the phase is part of the sound setting u will be turning it down and slow goin up till u hear a echo (distortion) bass boost knob should be no more than half ...etc the level knob is the gain...u would keep this no higher than 3/4 up never max it out or ulll get dirty poawer and blow ur subs

kk thnx bro. what kinda electrical u think will be needed? big 3, new batt under hood and 0g power/grounds good enough? or should i throw a extra batt in the back too just to make sure. i would do big 3 0 gauge and get a 2nd batt that will take 2k or more if u do 1500-2krms

single 18" will do just fine on 1500 rms

on a buget i recomend Hifonics or crunch ....hifonics hfi will not do rated and crunch rates peak so it will be a 500 rms amp if its a crunch 1000.1 etc....i have also been hearing good things a bout audio pipe

get the Bl feed it 1500 rms tune 30 hz or lower and you will fall in love i have 2 fully loaded BL 18"s and ran 1 tuned at 27 hz it was low and nasty

so i installed them and even did a couple demo's and i must say these so far are well worth the money they out preform my pyle 180 watt components i replaced them with . they are being ran by a massive nx4 @ 2 ohm per channel getting @180ish rms...id say its a great buy no hot speaker smell yet and great sound FTMFW!!!!! will look better and be better spaced with the new outer baffle

not that i can help but i have the same issue in my passport i have had 6 different set ups in there and when i meter i do best around 41hz even tho i tune 30-32hz even walled tuned @31hz i did better at 42hz ...although when i tuned to 27 it did poorly but slammed them lows...lol

i run 4 250 amp fuse's 1 at the alt,1 at the front batt,at the rear battery bank & then i fused my sub amp & when i upgrade my wiring i will have 2 fuse's per run of 0 as 1 poster said 00.1 db is worth my set up...... i have seen cars burn down from a wire snagging or rubbing .......and circuit breaker are useless after they blow 1 time and dont do well with alot of vibration i have killed lots of good and cheap breakers i like the anl fuse's my self ....it was mine i would fuse the hell our of it

if ur gonna run 1 sub i would get the daul 2 run it 1 ohm u nore the amp should notice the rise...just my 2cents although if u use a ton of wire it can affect the ohm load as well as the resistance

as always id say sundown...i got my old sa12s new for a lil over $400...but u amp want get a amp as well look around do some resreach ...google and youtube are great for checking up on products & welcome to smd

you are also only running a 4 ohm load so it is not getting very much power ....wire it to 2 or 1 ohm and it should move just fine

i would stay with a hifonics if i was you and get a new brz im pretty sure you can get a brand new brz2400 for $400 and u can get a new bxi 2k for less than $300 on amazon...another thing is craigslist is full of ppl trying to sell sht that has been raped and abused ...get a new amp .... also how do u like the HFI2500? i have the same amp im not impressed by the power but its pretty tough takes .7 ohm daily....
