ok i can get below 65. but cant get down to 35 or even close let me take a screen shot and upload it

no port is set i was just playing with numbers and couldn't get the tuning to drop

ok im using torres calculator and i noticed that the smaller the box the harder it is to get the tuning down for example say you have a 3.5^3 box it is nearly impossible to get the tuning below 65 but if i make the box bigger i can get the tuning down, but if its bigger wont i tear the surrounds??? sorry for the run on sentence. just trying to explain my thought process and my confusion.

dont forget about the amperage that your car pulls normally you have to add that to the equation too

i run a soundstream d1700 to mine daily it gets pretty warm but hasnt popped yet just be careful

wow thanks for all the advice. when i was reading the mecp book i would go out and try everything they explained in my truck so i could understand it better so i feel i have a pretty good grasp on everything they went over in the book so i guess the next step is apprenticeship!!! thanks again for the information

so im asking for your guys advice im about to be twenty and want to have a career in car audio but dont know where to start. its next to impossible to get a job at a local shop with no prior experience. i would donate my time gladly but i wouldn't be able to do it concistantly because of my random work schedule, also wouldnt want to waste my time at a shop that is one of those hack job shops you hear about. ill take whatever college classes i need to take and do whatever i need to i just need to be pointed in the right direction and i thought you two would be the best to ask. thanks for any help

i bought some xenon ones off of ebay they work....ok they look good i just can't see very far with them but you get what you pay for

before i by a new deck i was trying to get some sort of confirmation i dont have extra money to drop on something that isnt needed

i installed new crossovers but i still hear static its not loud and isnt effected by volume so when i turn the volume up i cant even hear it but knowing its there really bothers me. how do i go about diagnosing the problem. i honestly think its the head unit but dont know how to check
