First up a complete set of Alpine type R crossovers they were used for maybe 2 months back in 09 and they have been sitting ever since $25+ shipping for all of them
Next is a pair of Polk Audio MM691s these are basically brand new they were powered off a stock Honda prelude HU for 3 months tops $50+ shipping
I will only ship to cont US and I dont have any of the boxes so this +shipping cost includes UPS to pack them I think that is fair considering my asking prices
Thanks for looking
i currently have a 91 c1500 with 147K i did plan to swap a new 6.0 in it from a newer silverado but i have been thinking about just buying a new truck neither of these choices will happen any time soon but i am trying to plan ahead i things to consider like price and such and most likely i wont be trading my c1500 in because i couldnt give it away if i wanted so ill probably keep it but the cost of the engine swap will probably be around 3k-3.5k and a the truck that im looking for i dont want to spend more than maybe 15k and i could use the 3.5k to put down on a loan i will hopefully be graduating college in may so i will most likely be able to carry a car payment and insurance on a financed vehicle what do you guys think
thanks
If what you just described it what you want a really nicely designed ported box can do all or that and be louder than a sealed box unless space is really an issue then I would say to still go ported unless you just can't fit it just my .02
I was told on gmt400 that a lq4 swap start to finish including parts can be done myself for 3-3.5k I don't plan to rebuild the trans but maybe a bigger stall, a shift kit, and of course a service before installing
i just want it to last long enough for me to save for an lsx swap i have seen locally 6.0 engine/trans/harness ready to go for 850 and i have been told that a 5.3 could be had for 500 or less
ill try to get a vid in the morning its mainly only at idle when its rough when i accelerate or the motor is under load its fine
so your saying just cause its an old tired tbi?
i ahve a 91 c1500 with a 5.7 tbi with about 148k on it as soon as i bought the truck (around Feb of this year) i replaced the plugs and plug wires and stuff like that but it still seems to idle rough i dont really what to put that much money into the motor i just want it to run good enough till i can do an lsx swap any suggestions
thanks
no hate here what so ever but im a bigger fan of trucks layed out i like suvs better when they just tuck tire just my .02 those are fuckin sick none the less
i have walmart RCAs and they are great the only problem that i have had with them is the center pin is a little short for some amps (it will work with most) but that is an easy fix from radioshack with extenders
amp power is not only more power but usually cleaner and a better signal if you dont want to spend on the money that is involve in crossovers/eqs/and processing might i suggest the sundown sax100.4 it has one of the best crossover networks available on a 4ch amp i currently have 2 of them running a full 3 way active setup in my single cab c1500
