I am doing pretty much the same thing, 12" BTL on an SSL 4000.1 though, and I have been told that just the two batteries would be fine.

On a side note, this is why I stay away from rockford, its too damn expensive!

...Someone correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that an obvious problem? The battery is a 12v constant, and the ignition is a + 12v "switch" if you will. Are you saying that there is a ground wire the "dashboard ground" unconnected? If you are saying your dashboard electronics are not grounded, then that is the problem, or a lot of it atleast.

Wait, are you saying the connected the ignition wire directly to the positive on the battery?

What do you want more, an xbox or rims? Stupid if you ask me, roll around with your car on 20's or have an xbox to play all the time. I guess its just how much you use your xbox and want rims.

I had an Alpine MRPM1000 It gets burn you hot after barely playing bass, and its really expensive.

20 cu ft in a corolla!! dang.
