If you have a 1200 rms amp, and you have two subs hooked up to the ohm load that is needed to produce the 1200 rms, each sub will receive 600 rms.

Check your filters and gain could be to low or high. That amp is doing more then 800 at 2 ohms.

The sub output on my Alpine, the only RCA output, puts out all frequencies. I used the pass through on my T500, going to an amp to play tweeters.

There should be a filter to prevent that from happening. Maybe, your amps filter is broken in some way. If it is not broken, turn the filter down until you stop hearing frequencies you don't want your sub to play.

That looks freaking sweet. If the price stays kind of low (less being a good thing to have) I will have one. (Forget about the EV2 8s...) 1 of these in a 1/4 tine line as long as Fs is around 30 would rock my socks. Also, horizontal on the logo for the boot.

If you are trying to save money, you could get the same power for cheaper from Hifonics. I'm not sure on the reliability of the Hifonics, but I know people who have used them for a long time and never had any problems. Sundown underrates their amps, their build quality is very great (that is what I've heard). If buying Hifonics, I would buy the next step up from what you need. If you want a true 1000 rms, I would buy the 1500 rms rated amp. Yes you will get more than 1000 rms, with the 1500, but you can always keep the gain down a little. These guidelines are for the HIfi line, which is their lowest line. The other lines are CEA-2006 compliant, so they will do rated.

4 10s would be cooler then 2 15s. With 2 15s you'll have quite a bit more cone area though.
