    What subs are you using? Did you set gains with an oscope? May be clipping.

    Why not go with 2? And use a ported box.

    Does it feel like its "chugging". Almost like its gonna stall? If so, it may be a timing issue. Having the same issue with my truck now.

    I understand you are on a budget... I'm looking for the exact same alternator. But you will get what you pay for. I can get a 240 amp alternator locally for 275 bucks...but it wont put out anything at idle. If I were you, I would save for something good. I'm saving for a mechman. Lots of idle output, and they are built to be beat on daily.
