  1. Damn.... i need more power (only.. ONLY 150.7 at 26 hz for me and 140 at 10 hz)
  2. BTW this is in the wrong section, if you want to be eligable for system of the month, you need at least 150 posts and have a build log in the MEMBER BUILDS section. Good luck in the future! edit: Still need a build log with plenty of pictures in the proper section though.
  3. Looks like you got your money's worth! Sorry couldn't help it. Everybody's gotta start somewhere, welcome to SMD
  4. You're compaing proprietary programming that you'll never get to see to make you decide the xbox is better? How bout this little tidbit. When developers were making games, the xbox's arcitecture was easier to program for so the games were programmed on the xbox first then ported to the ps3. The ps3 was just too complicated for them at the time, especially considering the xbox's arcitecture was so close to what they were used to > windows based pcs. Now that they've hit the wall with the limits of the xbox's hardware capabilities, they're realizing they still have a TON of headroom left on the ps3 and a lot of developers are moving to do their development on the PS3. Then they DOWNGRADE the software when porting to the xbox. AND THEY STILL HAVEN"T HIT THE WALL ON THE PS3. Does Xbox have more games? Yes. Are they better games? Matter of opinion. Which hardware is more reliable? 1 in 10 xbox's RROD where 1 in 2000 ps3's fault due to hardware (ignoring the one time a software glitch left sony leaving a lot of ps3's screwed for a few days being fixed to no cost to the end user). Xbox vs ps3? yeah ps3 all day. i'm not bought off by a proprietary software gimmick (oooo sparkly) no matter how impressed i am by that piece of software (like in the video)
  5. I pulled a 140 at 10 hz yesterday lol. that shit ain't no joke.
  6. I like both of those personally. What are you looking for that either of those doesn't provide? Well thunderbird keeps messing up, just wanting to see if there is any other options... try something new how bout aim your web browser at gmail.com ? lol
  7. No idea what this song peaks at. Its bigpimpin's get silly.
  8. lol. not a wind up car. the wind up pin is something put on there to be cute lol.
  9. i've played an 8 hz tone on purpose before.. haven't tried anything else yet.
  10. 29 hz? that's right around my peak lol.. no where near as low as i can go
  11. no experience with the sdc series here. but the HDC series are extremly under rated and are a quality sub.
  12. who said anything bout bass?
  13. I would tottally pound Taylor Swift.
  14. Honda over Ford any day of the week.
  15. Ah and reserve capacity and how do i tell how many amps the amp will pull in general? thanks everyone btw, sometimes i feel like a dumb a** lol Don't feel dumb, asking questions is the only way to learn. You can go by rated fusing and build for that. As far as batteries amperage, most batteries can do about 1/4 it's cca rating before dropping voltage. That's a really rough way to look at it though. Oh and put 20k in my hand and you can have my truck as it sits
  16. This was in March so... 3 month old alternator and truck was warm so idle voltage was lower even though 15+ v is not something I've ever been able to sustain with it.
  17. Voltage output is governed by the voltage module of the alternator, consult your alt dealer. As for batteries, it all depends on what you want really. A good underhood battery like a group 34 is good for up to ~1400-1500 wrms and a second in cab battery would be good for say 3000 or so wrms then a third for about 4500 wrms. So expect 1500 per battery and 1 alt per say.. 5000-6000. All general experience though, I can't state these as diehard rules.
  18. If you're still looking after christmas, i'll sell you my kenwood for about $150 (paid $250 for it a year ago). It's this one http://www.kenwoodusa.com/KDC-HD942U
  19. Wisconsin? Hit up Audiofanatics (link to profile coming after the edit) edit: here ya go http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/user/436-audiofanaticz/ he's in sheboygan and does great work.
  20. I could make 2 group 31s and a group 34 on a DC power 270sp drop to 13's with 2 aq2200s at 2 ohms strapped. He'll need more then you're suggesting. All brand names aside. This ill need to see. Single iraggi 300, yellowtop under the hood, D3100 in the back, one RF T4000, one kicker 250.2 with big 3 and 2 runs of 0, never below 14volts at full tilt. It was when I upgraded my two championships to four championships. I clamped that T4000 at 4308. I know it can be done. look around 1:48 .. and this wasn't the worst song for this system i could see 13.3 at times.now. you don't wanna know what i see now that i have those 2 aq2200's strapped at 1 ohm (1/2 ohm per amp)
  21. Either alt, I prefer DC. 2 group 31 batteries, XS or deka 9a31, they're the same thing, and consult the alternator manufacturer about voltage modules.

  23. im going to disagree on the second alt. unless its full tilt for the whole commute lol. i think the one 250amp alt and two g31's like you said should do just fine. 2 runs of 1/0awg. i had two 1500's at .5ohm and an alpine pdx150.4 on my 270amp alt, g34 yellow top, and two G31's and i stayed above 13.5v if i remember correctly. Why you gonna say you disagree with me then turn around and agree? Lol I say wail like you're trying to blow something, you say full tilt for the whole commute. Same concept really.
