  2. I got another 2 -3 years at my job before i can say such. i only get 120 hours a year right now..
  3. Click the black title above each picture, they'll blow up to full size and are easily readable.
  4. X2. I'd definatly be able to make a memphis meet
  5. I'll most likely 45 the inside corners, put in a triangle on the back wall and round the ends to keep tubulance down.
  6. Long story short, future wishlist for my truck = blowthrough, 2 18" DC lvl 4 xl subs, and a DAT 2500.1 Truck is a 92 silverado stepside Box dimensions (external) = 49 x 30 3/4 x 19 1/2 (flush with top of bed. will need an adapter ring to fit into a blowthrough cutout. 1" walls, double faceplate (2") and 3/4" port walls. 8" wide port top to bottom, T shaped. 140 in^2 of port. Anyways, just wanted to share the design in case anyone else wanted to use it. Let me know what you think! Edit: yes the subs don't look like DC subs, they're just mockup . Also, i guessed at sub displacement around 0.23 to 0.25 cubes each.
  7. Alright so you're gonna want something with higher gain and more crunch. Steer away from Marshall MG series amps and Line 6 Spiders as they may sound good to you initially, but their tone will become very steril and generic sounding to you as you get used to them. If you want something with lots of effects onboard, look into a peavey vypyr. <<<(i suggest you get this especially if you're just starting out) If you want something better, with the warmth of tubes, plug into a peavey classic 30, egnator, peavey jsx, and a blackstar. They all have slightly different tone on their own and will all get you into metal territory with a good overdrive pedal like a tubescreamer or screaming monkey.
  8. just like thehoe said. frame rate it's a common occurance using cheaper cameras filming subs. just browse the videos on realmofexcursion.com or youtube and you'll run accross some that look like the 2 sides of the cone are out of phase (yes that bad). but trust us, if your cone was actually wobbling you would hear the coil scraping inside the motor assembly.
  9. just steer away from pioneer, i have a pair of their 6x9's on a crossfire 240 and they start stankin fast when i turn it up.
  10. ad-block ftw. Sorry to hear about your neighbor OP. Get a good watch dog imo.
  11. Your best bet is to invest in a repair manual for your vehicle, should have all the diagrams you need. Good news is, regular V-belts don't follow as intricate paths as serpintine belts so you should be able to figure it out on your own.
  12. I can make some suggestions on what to look for if you're kinda new to guitar/amps. Just let me know what kinda music you're into.
  13. running it th rough a HPF doesn't mean anything if the stuff above that 100 hz mark and the stuff below that 100 hz mark (that you added in after) = > 30 db
  14. These things that were "predicted" were only deciphered from cryptic unexact bullcrap AFTER they happened. If you wanna see something bad enough, you will see it. Hell people have recently found "predictions" to assassinations of important people in MOBY DICK by circleing letters that show up DIAGONALLY of each other in the public domain free copy available online.
  15. May not be the loudest but damn does it look good. keep the pictures coming!
  16. ... Wtf happened?. i'm gonna go with NO. just like the people who get their rides pimped on pimp my ride. their rides are in such terrible condition cause the way they treated them to start with 9 times out of 10. So now that they got $50,000 worth of improvements done to it they're automatically expected to change their habits and treat their cars nice?. Not gonna happen. Go pimp the ride of people whot ake care of their cars but just can't afford to fix it up. .. .. Err . sorry for the rant... OP: yes the perl will look great!
  17. Yeah i was kind figuring something like that. Similar to my second option up there. Hope he comes around on whatever's got him ... in hiding? He has a hell of a ride waiting on him, that's for sure.
  18. get one of those metal clad pallet jack batteries. about 1000 pounds worth of battery put in place of your spare tire area
  19. Put a mechanic's lean on it for the amount owed. Not sure the details behind such things, but if he doesn't pay you, you have the right to sell it. I'm sure either chicken has ran out of money from spending so excessively, or people are so busy begging him for money that he shut himself off from the outside world. (beggers being family and friends who all have a sob story, not bill collectors and such)
  20. Don't know the year these were made. but i have one and love it. A quick google searcy for clarion eqs750 manual will get you a users manual in PDF format with wiring diagrams, voltages, etc. Just don't mount yours like i did mine. (inside a cloth pocket under a seat cushion) they need a little bit of air to keep cool.
  21. Funny i just poked a hole in one of my sub's surrounds yesterday. Lucky for me it's a rubber surround.
