  1. Steve- I will take back GM. Going deaf is correct tho: the lack of variation-& just repeating the same lines over and over again and not having a 2 or three part chorus makes it tooo monotonous for me. No personal knocks here man, just sayin I don't like that cd. Maybe if his older stuff was diff I would like that. I'll have to check into it. Perhaps he was writing better back then and not trying to rely so much on guest spots by jeezy, or his "slappin beats" to carry his album. We all know you have twenty times the power I'm running, and 10times the electrical. I would venture to say with your setup you could make just about anything REALLY loud, but, HAVING heard both systems, I like mine better. I'm not a real fan of 18's personally and I prefer the punchiness of smaller subs. There is a tonn of air moving in ur truck and mucho pressure, but If I ever need it that loud I will have to use a bunch of smaller subs cuz they sound better to my ear. Srry iTunes doesn't do refunds, but I think I'm only gonna get maybe half of my $$ back anyways. Imma go make some vids of Big Rich flexin my ride for ya.
  2. HAHAHAHAHA! HATE!?seriously? Well, I guess our tastes our 180deg from each other. EXACTLY opposite.I liked Track 2,4,6,15. #2the best. If it makes ya feel any better, I picked up that Gucci man Trap house you said was slumpin and It's now a $15 ninja star. I liked Big Rich cuz he has some diverse tracks on it, not just monotonous "ICE THIS"..., Booty bitches that" Gucci has no depth and the tracks even sound too similar so I'mma sell that one back to dimple. Gucci man HAS ZERO talent IMO. It may slap ok but not more than Jeezy, Big Rich, E-40, and his lyrics are staright laughable. To his "credit" he did have the sense to put some nekkid hoodrats on the inside cover To each his own.
  3. Damn that "kinda" sux bro. Only say kinda, cuz I been in ur shoes-Just make sure yoyu GET YOURS and teach em a lesson. Good luck w/ it.
  4. Wow dude Nice upgrade! Quite a nice box build there, tell Belunt Kudos from me on the design and build. Pac man FTW nice touch there. I was gonna say say "Veneer?" on the port mouth but I guess it's birch w/ some stain over it-Quite pim lookin IMO, great stuff. We WILL need some vids and TL numbers asap (cuz we're like that) but I bet that thing hammers in that nice box and a T2000 should be no joke on it. and...heeeeeeeerrre comes the trunk rattle!!!!
  5. Kinda my point. I can Burp a TL 145 and ran 144 for on muzic last time I tried it. Old school is coo n all, but that one just does little for me. I should have mentioned that his doors/pods are pretty siick, but other than that I'm thinkin i'd rather see some Fi/Re 18's in a Lade. IMO, thats all.
  6. I dont like it. It's? "ok". 8-18's, WTG. Its a boring setup IMO tho.
  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-240s...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1989-Nissan...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-NIS-KA24...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-NISSAN...1QQcmdZViewItem and tonns more. Look for a local one. but thats just IMO
  8. Finally picked this album up. I was in a pissed off mood after clas today so I threw in some old 2pac(hail mary) and cruised up to the record store mean muggin errbody. Picked up Meade's recommended Guci mayne along with the Big Rich album i been meanin to get. Havn't even opened couchie mayne yet Album is Called :Hood Tested, Block Approved. (also track #2 and it SLLLAAAAAPS) Big Rich - Where I'm from It's been my myspace song for a while but never had it on some subs. OUCH. Hella folks flipped me off today hahahhahhaaha! Killin it. go cop dat.
  9. 240 hands down. but I'd shoot for a newer one. I'm gonna do a setup in a '95 240 if i ever get the time, car is just chillin and the parts have BEEN chillin.
  10. Thanx man. I really appreciate those kinda posts. I know how hard it is to get "good info" so if i have any to give it's always gonna be there for you guys. Sidenote-I'm still takin notes myself, GP, RAY, BaggedBirds, and EpicenterDesigns drop knowledge on me anytime they glass/plastic work some magic into their rides. <--Student for life. Gotta push them limits. Thnx again tho, looks like i made top 3 so whoo hoo!
  11. Even tho it puts my chances in the can, I voted for this setup. Don't let anyone hate on the blue interior lighting-I think it's pimp. Datsalottabox.
  12. NICE dude. Great cleanup and it flows allot better now I think. The window extensions, battery cover, and front of the box look sweet now. Letters are pimp too No more 2x4's hehe.
  13. Dude I really like how you did the box+rack. Vinyl looks great. I bet that setup PUTS THE HAMMER DOWN NASTY! I wonder how hard it hits the mic? Vids and numbers asap please Good luck this month too!
  14. Damn dude. Sorry to hear that, but hopefully it'll be nothing to worry about in the end. If you remember, a lil while back my mom had a stroke and heart attack, then we found out she had developed diabetes too. She was so terrified- The best thing you can do is be there for her/with her as much as possible, and make sure you say ALL the things you ever MEANT to say. My mom n I got "caught up" a lot while I stayed w/ her in the hsopital until she came home. Just make sure she knows you care and give her some condolences from the SMD guys.
  15. I must admit-i'm generally in too much of a time crunch w/ my daylight hours running out so I seldom get to bust out the soldering equipment unless the application demands so, i.e. no room for connectors. I do try to keep a hefty "arsenal" of tools/tricks/skills on hand so I can be better prepared to tackle w/e obstacles I may encounter. Some times the hardest thing is not "painting yourself into a corner" w/ your install ideas-gettin carried away or going too fast means you gotta have a nice escape method to recover what you otherwise might have just screwed up. Lotsa planning b4 you dig in is always good and some McGyver escape methods/tools never hurt. Keep that Batman utility belt on at all times. Glad I could help.
  16. well you beat me to it: "I know this one guy...he's got like 4-18's in a Tahoe, and about 20,000watts in his daily...I'm pretty sure it's one of the loudest daily's ever...cuz most folks have "dyno queen" spl setups that is IF they are anywhere near 160db on a TL...but his will make your hoody stand up, make grown men jump out and run away, and make your fake eye pop outta your head". And it makes us all SMILE
  17. Yup. That's what I was saying. Nice find on the vid. Sidenote- That dude did NOT look/sound like he wanted to be the one doing that demo and I bet he would SUCK as a teacher. "Soldering's not welding" -Duh, otherwise they'd call it, um Welding. But good analogy I guess. "DO NOT use acid core solder" "Don't use an excess of solder" Nice and cheery. HA.
  18. ***Soldering 101*** From my head-(Trying not to sound like an ass here-but this tip will mean the diff between GOOD and JENKY-BAD connections) When you go to solder lets say a speaker wire to a speaker terminal: -Apply heat to the THINGS you want to solder, not the solder itself. -Melting solder OVER/ONTO something is not nearly as good as coating the item/connection in solder. It's called a "hot solder" (heating the item/wire) versus a "cold solder" (melting solder and dripping over the connection) -By heating the wire or terminal, once enough heat is absorbed/transferred into that wire/piece, the solder will melt TO IT as if IT were the soldering tip. -In the end, what ever item/wire you're working with should look CHROMED in solder-that is to say you should see every lil imperfection in the wire/item and all the lil wires' strands should be visible through the solder but looked chromed, rather than a big ugly blob of melted goo over the top. This will create a much tighter/stronger connection AND make the interior part of the connection AIR TIGHT and as we all know air/oxygen breeds corrosion in electrical connections, corrosion means elevated resistence and higher resistence means less current flow through that connection. -So when you go to solder your connections make sure you touch the soldering tip to the wire or terminal and heat IT until IT's hot enough to melt the solder. This should also keep your soldering iron/gun/tip lookin nice and new as you will never melt solder directly onto/over the heating tip. Hope that helps and If need be I can elaborate on that.
  19. Thank you sir. I DO appreciate it.
  20. Correct. I dunno how i missed this post and I'm surprised it took that long for someone to post: ROSIN CORE is for electrical ACID is structural and sealing things like pipes. It should say right on the package what it should be used for and most places w/ an electrical section will have it-HOME DEPOT,Autozone/Kragen/Advance/Checkers/Pep Boys etc.
  21. This may be even out of my scope but I shall venture in real quick: Steve: Do you have to set both 360's seperately and "synch" em up band by band or will the one PDA do both at the same time? If you can control both 360's at the same time via one pda that'd be teh sexy. Also, will the RTA give you help on positioning the mids b4 you mount em? or will it just allow you to fine tune them based on on "attenuation", and even then only from wherever you put speakers versus wherever you put the mic?
  22. Shoulder Lean is by Young Dro.
  23. CLERKS ..."well try not to suck any dick on the way to the parking lot!....HEY YOU! GET BACK HERE!" -Dante, to his GF, then some dude in the P-lot.
  24. HAHAHHA.
