    I would start by checking your batts, and then your alt. Try charging it on a charger, if you dont have one, buy one..start there

    what he said /\ for most part....buying a new lappy for about 500 would be the best option, you can find them on newegg for that much if you search you can find great deals there...if you buy a vista box, minimum I would buy would be 1 gig RAM, 2 gigs is preferable, if it is windows 7, 1 would suffice, but 2 would be better...like check this....http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834147997...
