I don't think 5 3100s is necessary for that power. 3 would be more than enough especially with 2 mechman alts. Hope that helps a bit on saving some money. Just make sure you have a good 2-3 pos and neg runs to the back batteries and some good grounds. Not sure what your asking by max amps? Figure out what size alts you can fit, mechman rates them by how much max amps the alt puts out and how many amps at idle. By taking a quick look at your equipment list your amps are good for roughly 6,000 watts rms (2,500 x2 and 1,000). Mechman should be more than happy to answer any of your installation questions. How much smaller would you recommend making a box for a pair on a 3500 per 15? Just curious what you'd shrink the box down to. 3 sound about right?

For such little power, the Btl is pretty efficient. The big box makes up for the little power as of now. My real amp shall triple the power and really make it get down

When I was there he was using titebond on everything. I think he used some sort of silicone over it to seal it better.
