  1. Hope the info helps you man. I've sold American Bass for 4 yrs or so and Love the products. Bob is a great guy to deal with. let me know if you need anything else.

  2. I went through my box archive aka (notebook) and couldin't find it. But i think it's in my toolbox. I'll look again after work. It was a standard l-shape port with 1" wood dowel braceing. 1 in the port and a cross behind the subs. It was a solid box. I wish I woulda kept it. I'll be glad to share the design with you as soon as I find it.
  3. I did 4 Powerbass Ps-10's in my bronco 2 a while back 3.75 cubes ported to the drivers side subs up, did a 145.5 sealed on the windsheild with a US MD3D. Got plenty loud and was musical.
  4. If you check out my Vids on You tube there is some footage of my box, I ran about 5 cubes with a 5 inch port that was around 27" long. it did a pretty good job. cfaist1 is my channel. can't remember the exact specs but when I get home I'll try to find my plans.
  5. Thanks for the info man. Good point on saving the money. Looks like i might buy a pair of Powerbass xl 15"s to get me by for now. I can get a pair of b stockers for the same price as the 3xls and the aq
  6. Sorry guys wasn't trying to start any flaming just was courious on what ppl thought about them. Mods feel free to lock it once again. I won't bother posting anymore.
  7. Let me rephrase the question, I have the chance to buy either a powerbass 3xl 15 or an audioque sdc 2.5 15". They will be driven by an american bass vfl 100.1. just a daily beater set up till i start my new build. what would you go with and why?

Got a Mmats d3500.1 I'm looking to unload any interest? let me know
  9. I'd definatly go with 16 sq. in. of port per cubic foot. Aero ports do sound better than slots. (IMO) But I always use slot ports for price and area. Those trucks are hard to get loud, Just like Expeditions. It's all with set up and tuneing though. I've done a 148.5 in my old bronco II with 4 powerbass PS-10's and an MD3D. Just try different combos man.Start with port area.
  10. That's a bad amp man. I used to have the non-ES version just not that nice and it was a beast and it was huge. Another one on my list of shoulda kept's
  11. American Bass XFL's or HD's would be a great choice. Friend gives them 1500 watts RMS each daily and they don't skip a beat. Gonna throw the term-lab on them when it warms up. But for now it's uncomfortable to sit in.
  12. They aren't Junk just not built for anything but Sound Quality. I had 13 ov.2's myself and loved them for listening to music but that's all they were good for. And they should have been. The 13av.2 isn't even built as an SPL sub.
  13. I will have to agree with footlongsam. It's all in the set-up. I had 3 Soundstream SPL15's The OLD Stamped Steel basket version) in my Bronco II Off a Rubicon 1002 In the cargo area doing a 149.3 outlaw. that was with stock electrical and 4 4 gauge powering everything. I'd spend the money on a box rebuild.
  14. My Nine.1 Came in Yesterday. Haven't got it hooked up yet, Tonight will be the night. They XD's pound off the titan which is rated at 750 RMS @ 1 ohm and most get around 14-1500 with the nine.1's and good electrical. Should be a hell of a difference.
  15. If your Taco dosen't have a mechanical fan. uldn't notice a difference. the only reason most have a heat sheild is to block the turbulance from the fan. The heat is sometimes and issue but mostly they are for keeping fan wash at bay, and stopping irratic Idle (SP CHK). Just my experience and $0.02
  16. Hi all just picked up one XS D680 today and plan on 1 more before too long. (great Deal on them). I was wondering if they will support My Elemental Designs Nine.1 which is rated @ 1,200 RMS at 12.5V @ 1ohm and most people bench them at around 1,500 rms at 14.4. The car Has the 1 run of 1/0 to the back and the big three done.
  17. Looking for new or Used. I can get you a pair of new American bass HD's I'm an authorized dealer. let me know. what you want. C.A.R.AUDIO, Holstien, Iowa
  18. Dude You definatly Stole those 2 for $200.00, Both are Killer A/B amps that I'd love to have. Nice buy. Enjoy!
  19. Go for it. I've had my Classic series 6 1/2" components for a good year now off My E.D. Nine.2 and they sound clean and very detailed. Just the Classic series themselves have been reviewed as Tonalley Perfect. For the money you can't go Wrong. they would be a Strong recomendation.
