2 ohm subs usually never really read exactly 2 ohms. They are 1.7-2.1 usually. You have nothing to worry about. -
What series?
ChevyBoy95 replied to Justscrap's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
if your truck is the same size as my 95 chevy, you can do 2 18s at about the back window line, just have to use full 60in wide. Then you can put amps and batteries in the bed and get a bed cover or something. I would do the 4 15s though, more coil for the amount of power used. -

Too much power for lvl 6??
ChevyBoy95 replied to gredysra's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
If Op and I are on the same page, Then that's not bass boost, but sub level. On almost every alpine and I believe some kenwoods, you need to turn the sub level to 15/15 to get full RCA voltage out. my previous alpine had that. 15/15 sub level and no clippage. -

no signal to bass amps???
ChevyBoy95 replied to ChevyBoy95's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
cant remember if i did, but i will try it again. -
i know how temperamental MDF if with moisture, that's why it could be completely sealed with either resin or bedliner. but you are right, something else would be more efficient.
-
it is the wires and such that i dont want ridiculous amounts of moisture to get to. I was thinking a MDF box coated with a bed liner style material or covered in resin. If course matched later, rubber grommets etc. Just wondering if anyone has done one or seen one. And getting a bed cover is out of the question.
-
umm... cause i actually use tools in my tool box, i have the factory jack, my craftsman set, ropes, straps, etc. It is FULL. not to mention i dont want to put holes in my tool box. edit: batteries are 9in tall, 13in long, and 7.5in wide
-
The two batteries i have besides my starter are quite large, and I would like to move them to the bed under the tool box in the 10in tall useless space. What could i make it completely water proof with? will have a few 1/0's going in and out.

Little help on adding batts
ChevyBoy95 replied to pssstgotbags94's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
it wont destroy them, i have ran kinetiks with stock batteries for months and they still rest 12.9v. yes it is bad for them, but destroy is a strong word.
