  1. tight budget and OFC shouldnt be in the same sentence. man up or get CCA
  2. well i ordered a turn on kit from tony, so we will see. Will be out of town so wont update this til probably the 9th
  3. for good OFC 1/0, expect to pay about 3.50-5.00 per foot. for welding it is much cheaper, but car audio 1/0 is worth it with the flexiblility
  4. level 4s are efficient enough to get STUPID loud even on 1 9k. with 2 or more it will get insane.
  5. TTT, see if i catch anyone off work who has more to offer.
  6. after messing with it, it seems to kick on instantaneously after hitting 27 out of 35 volume, so something with the amps and signal voltage maybe? could having 3 amps on the remote wire cause this maybe? like the bass amps require more to fully start up rather than just power on? didnt have this issue when it was jus the mids/highs amp and 1 bass amp. Now that there is two is some extra factor playing in? hopefully someone will chime in.
  7. no delay turn on, it seems random in length. After it kicks on everything works like a charm, it is just bothering me because i know something isnt right. edit: i have had this unit on multiple amp set ups, and brands, this is the first time my kenwood has done ANYTHING like this.
  8. Just wired everything up yesterday, HU is a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X595. When ever i turn the truck on, the HU comes on, mids/higns amp comes on starts playing, bass amps are on, but sometime it will take a minute or two for the bass to kick on even though the amps are both showing green power lights. any ideas? edit: and sometimes i think i can feel the music playing through the subs, but it is so faint im not 100% sure if it is just vibration from the mids.
  9. i like high to low transitions. like a few 40s, then drop to low 30s. like the slowed version of extra credit by wiz khalifa
  10. if it is a quarter in off, i would re cut that 1 piece. you can fix 1/8in or 1/16in stuff but .25 is big.
  11. port size vs box volume doesnt have anything to do with port noise. Port noise happens from the much port velocity, not a clear air flow, too small of a port, etc.
  12. depends how bad. I dont use a table saw, but i get clamps, a t square that is 48in long or a straight scrap piece of MDF, clamp it down and use it as a guide, so even withouth a tablesaw i can get perfect cuts with little effort.
  13. TTT, ive been google searching and seems to be a fault within firefox itself, rather than conflicting plugins or add ons. Just faulty update. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
  14. yea, been there before, not anymore. barely have enough freetime to sit down for 10 minutes.
  15. looks like one of the better prefabs out there. But you could do this cheaper if you did it yourself, and learn something in the process. I have build only about 10 boxes, but each one gets straighter, sounds better, and looks cleaner as i go.
  16. havent seen a 15 before, but depending on how long you can get the console, 2 8s would give you a good amount of output with small enclosure volume and a smaller port.
  17. infinity's actually do sound pretty good, not harsh, or at least the set i had, but they are about 3 years old and still playing great.
  18. other browsers work, but have not had updates like my firefox.
  19. mine stopped working i think as soon as firefox updated yesterday. edit: and the vid above is just a black box that is unclickable.
  20. Using Mozilla, any embedded video even youtube, either comes up as a black rectangle, or nothing at all, just a white space. When i go to youtube, the videos show up but when i hit play they give an error message. I pop open chrome and everything works. Just trying to solve my issue, mozilla is my fav.
  21. smh, cadence is cheap for a reason, it is CCA, even if it says it is OFC it isnt. if you cheap out on wire, you might as well not even do the build, watts are determined by voltage and amperage. What delivers the voltage and amperage you ask????? WIRE DOES. The more wire or less resistant wire aka OFC will cause less voltage drop from the resistance in the wire and carry amperage more efficiently to the amps or batteries. OFC is king shit because it is all copper, therefore expensive.
  22. sorry, i had too. edit if you want to be loud you need about 20 super tweeters.
