  1. we work with what you give us, pics, vids, etc. all can aid us to respond in a more detailed or on point "fix" or idea of what to do next. Take pics of the side of the amp where the gain is and make sure it is clear and post it up. nvm, i see what you mean about the two gain settings. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23986_Soundstream-RUB1.2500D.html Its for various input voltage, if your preout is 2v, switch it to 2-8v and have it all the way up, or have it on the .5v-2v and have it all the way down(i think thats how it works). lower the input voltage means more gain. But as far as when you get your XL, before hooking it up, check the triple joint, suspension, etc. to make sure its 100% and then hook it up and see if anything seems out of place.
  2. 1. No, causes a shit ton of heat though. 2. Regardless, your gain should NEVER be all the way up, do you even know what the gain does? its not volume.
  3. what i enjoy is bass lines that go 35hz for 10ish seconds then hits a 45ish then drops to like a 28, then back to 35hz. if that makes any sense. But yea, dont do a lot of songs like thug motivation or airforces because it is the same not basically for 4 minutes. but good luck to ya.
  4. it is for ease of wiring, just because it has 2 terminals for pos and neg doesnt mean its a two channel.

  6. angels are badass too. and dye dm's do get ridiculous in price, but the one i used was borrowed from a ref at the paintball place, so i didnt have to pay for anything but balls. a5's are sweet too. only thing i would suggest, get a halo hopper or something like that, because it helps the feed rate to the gun, sometimes in plastic regular hoppers the balls can get stuck and you have to shake them loose while getting shot at.
  7. i think they are pretty efficient too.
  8. tippmans were always what i used for a budget-ish gun, but i didnt play everyday, i did it for fun. Brothers friend (a ref at the paintball place by me) let me use his dye dm5 a few years back and it was bananas. Autocockers were pretty sweet too. My brother started out with a spyder something with a halo hopper and it did pretty well until it shit the bed after about 2 years. but it has a nice 17bpm fire rate, but it would break balls in the barrel often if shot too fast.
  9. well what i do now, i put 1 wire from each terminal to the side of the box (usually bolts) and wire it externally into parallel or series, so if you want to change it, you dont have to pull the sub out. same thing as said above^^^
  10. havent they only been around for like a year? and it seems anyone who has them has 18s.
  11. its pretty good, but the bells or whatever it is for the first bit is a bit much for my taste, but a damn good job to say the least. some parts there is too much going on, but overall 8/10.
  12. people nut hug DC for a reason, the CS and product. No one would nut hug a shitty product(unless they(owners) are self righteous or arrogant because they think what they have is the best) . But personally, i havent had experience with rockfords or level 3s so idk.
  13. lol DC fanboys getting shit but here we have someone with the username "nightshade" recommending... a nightshade. plus the sundown audio banner in the avatar. lol sorry man, but thats funny to me.
  14. i lol'd, im a DC fanboy and voted BTL because there fucking sick. Specially the N3.
  15. money, money, money, do i need to say more? everything revolves around money. People who are too ignorant to know the difference between rms and max/peak wattage will fall for ridiculous claims. like mentioned above: "Johnny, I just got a 4000 watt amp to put on my Kicker competition subs!" The amp most likely does around 500rms @ 2Ωs but to people who dont know any better they got a sweet deal on that amp. Have you noticed none of the mainstream brands like DC, Sundown, Audioque, etc. rate off of peak? Everything is AQ2200 (2200rms) or SAZ2000 (2000rms). All the shit in stores needs to grab peoples attention and that huge watt rating and super low price is what gets those companies business. Or at least thats what i think.
  16. polyfil adds i guess the best way to say it is depth to the sound. and every woofer sounds different/ reacts differently, sometimes they sound best packed full, or half full, etc. try it and experiment.
  17. mine feel off once, then i re-glued it, it hasn't fallen since. I can make the thing dance like crazy but it wont fall off anymore.
  18. personally, i would do a 18 XL, crescendo bc2000, xsd3100 in the back. Simple, and not too pricey.
