  1. the only thing n8, i tried that before and basically all couldnt receive, only send. not trying to be a dick or anything, just saying.
  2. all they really do it help direct airflow so i can move in and out more smoothly.
  3. i usually dont like pt's at all, but i have to admit, yours looks sick.
  4. you can buy used, just make sure they have plenty reps. and 100 is enough for a box, thats like 2 sheets of 3/4in MDF, glue, nails, and a few odds and ends. as long as you have the power tools, you can make a sturdy box for 100.
  5. im pretty sure its the XXX from re. it says "Loudest Single Subwoofer in the World!" hit 173 whatever dbs. i think it was on their site until they redid it.
  6. beef up the cables first, then see what your working with. next would probably be a bigger battery, or another hc600 in the back, which should make your voltage stay in a nice area with slight drops on heavy bass lines or hits. and even though you alt on does say 60-80, the amp pulls amps from the batts too so i can produce 2400 watts even though the alt is stock. (example - a 4000 watt amp with say 4 batteries only draws 50amps from the alt because of the help of the 4 batteries(not based on real situations))
  7. caps only help if you already have steady voltage. Even with 4 alternators and 12 batteries, the alternators cant always catch up to a big hit of bass which will cause a slight drop in voltage (example .2-.4v) and the capacitor is the aid to the alts not being quick enough, so the cap takes the extra draw and that slight drop is less or not at all. (they only work for single heavy hits) but thats what i think they are for iirc.
  8. they are decent, but if you were me, i would get this Audioque AQ750. It will do the same as that dtr.900, and i have had experience with AQ amps and they are amazing, and not to pricey.
  9. well i made the port larger, so its about 5.7 right now. almost 16sqin per cube. 35.6hz
  10. nothing in stores? so i dont need to worry about shipping, could maybe go up to 750-800 total but thats about it unless i wait another couple weeks patience pays off trust me. or else you will be rebuilding and wasting more money then you though you would. dont believe me? go ahead get some knockoffs and see this is about the most important thing you can remember, never cheap out, and save up for quality equipment you will be happy with, rather than wasting money and being unhappy/dealing with repairs/replacing.
  11. save up. there are no good 18s for less than around 300 each right now, even used. not to mention, i just bought 1 18 for almost your full sub budget.
  12. I've never had a problem, and I've dropped well over $1000 using them. You just have to register the card first. @OP you shouldn't have a problem using that visa to buy any of those sub's. well, ive had them and they never worked, maybe it was the sites.
  13. a lot of the time, you cant use prepaid visa on a lot of sites.
  14. for a level 5 18, will eventually be on 3-4k later in the future(probably 2 scendo bc2ks strapped), low funds right now so will be on 2 aq1200ds. fyi the port will be 5.5in external rather than 5, which makes the port 5.5in from the floor of the enclosure (this barely changes the sqin/tuning/cuft). there will be multiple ports also, a 12in sono tuned to 44ish, 10in sono tuned to 36ish (lest port area than shown), and this port.
  15. on stock my truck could run 2 aq1200s with the gains down a bit and not drop into the 12s. but we need to know what alternator you have. but generally, stock can handle about ~1krms but might have a little light dimming.
  16. that guy is talking out of his ass. put them all in 1 chamber and port it.
  17. this is why i hate most shops.. out-timing??!?! CHECK YOU CONNECTIONS, maybe a loose ground, power, or speaker wire maybe.
  18. that paint is a hell of a difference. i like it.
