  1. So this is my first time doing anything like this- I've lived with my parents or in dorms my whole life so far. Next year (my junior year of undergrad) I'll be living in this house in the Pittsburgh area- nice place IMO. 4 bedrooms, so I'll be living with three good friends. All modern amenities/appliances, new insulation and wiring, and the current tenants had nothing but good words about the place and the landlord. SUPER stoked! Ninja pic:
  2. Perhaps something similar in appearance to Trippi's original 6-SMD box? and by that I mean lights and acrylic
  3. I'm starting preliminary research on them- I would really like my next vehicle to be a RWD or AWD sedan. My candidates are really the G8, WRX (non-STI), and maybe that new Subaru BRZ if I go with a coupe. BUT this thread is about the G8. If you've got one, what do you think about it? I am also over on the G8Board, but I'd also like to hear what my SMD buds have to say.
  4. I do like the paint. But was that like 4awg positive and 8awg ground on the amp?!?
  5. LOL at "I just like the colors" and the one with a link titled "yeast infection" in the sig.
  6. All of what was posted above. And please, whatever you do, don't give it that horrifying, raspy, mosquito-farting-in-a-coffee-can sound.
  7. Dis right here. And I will say this- you post about women/issues with women very often.
  8. It hasn't passed. It was shelved so to speak, but can come back to bite us in the asses. This is just a chosen day of protest I wanna say.
  9. It's nothing special. I made it using the free version of Virtual DJ Home. It's a combo of Day N' Nite (Kid Cudi), Ni**as in Paris (Jay-Z & Kanye West) and Motivation (Kelly Rowland). No vocals, but if anyone wants to go ahead and add them then repost it...I'd actually love to hear that. Link HERE
  10. Adding a resistor inline with the sub is going to mess with the signal going through, effectively changing the frequency response curve quite a bit.
  11. He was saying discounted, as in on sale, and fortunately not discontinued. I don't want that product going anywhere- I haven't bought it yet lol
  12. lol @ everyone getting ridiculous with the comments. It's an original idea. But the faces leave a lot to the imagination.
  13. Too good. This website was the source of many-a-distraction during my finals studying.
  14. Hello all- I got the following from Parts-Express: That would be Dayton PK165 mids, Selenium ST200 super tweeters and Dayton 3KHz crossovers. What I want to do is make something like this, on a smaller scale: So basically, a small but angry set of DJ speakers. I need help though. What would be thick enough wood for the cabinets? What do you tune a 6" speaker enclosure to, and how? The Fs of the Daytons is 95Hz. An interesting thing I noticed about the ST200s is that they are NOT sealed, and would leak air if they shared airspace with the Daytons. The four rectangular holes around the horn are where the magnet/diaphragm clip on to it, and it's not airtight. Does anyone have suggestions or wanna point me in the right direction? Thank you. EDIT: It would probably help to give you guys a link to the product page: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-020
  15. They are loud. Just being powered off a POS Sony receiver at the moment... @beatbox: Yep, parts express. They amaze me.
  16. I'm kind of scared they might be too much for these mids- but I'll run them for a little bit tonight and see what happens.
  17. I just placed the order for this stuff two days ago, and it's already here. Dayton PK165-8 PA mids, Dayton 3KHz crossovers, and Selenium ST200 super tweets. All going into some PA speakers I'm making!
  18. I can't wait until I can get my hands on a pair of these. Coupling them with Dayton crossovers and Selenium ST200s for little party speakers...should be mean.
  19. A bit much for me, but they're pretty badass for some applications I'd say.
  20. Post pics/screenshots of your overclocking exploits, if you would.
