  1. I like all of the lights just how they are, but that's only my humble $.02.
  2. I thought the 6666 was cooler, but this one is definitely more humorous EDIT: Dear god, I said that on my 666th post.
  3. I've always thought about that- running the high-voltage batts and amps off of a dedicated alternator. But would that still screw with the rest of the system, since it'll all be grounded to the same place?
  4. You will not last long here. Enjoy them 14 volts.
  5. What's your budget for this thing? I have a Linksys WRT54GL, but that's a bit dated nowadays. This Netgear is actually a pretty well-featured and versatile unit for the price. Linky
  6. The 5.0 does mixed mono, right? Basically a 2+1 channel amp with two speaker outputs? Man, I hope by the time I'm done with EE undergrad I'll be able to fix my own amps.
  7. I was actually driving around in my friend's '97 SC300 5-speed. Little crazy driving must've masked the shaking...
  8. Hahaha poor guy. That had to be hell. He had a nice car too...the car behind my username!
  9. RF Power 1000 love! Beautiful amps. When will we be seeing vids?
  10. Starting my sophomore year at Pitt in about a week. Moving in Thursday. Electrical engineering FTW...
  11. I don't know. Only one way to find out.
  12. Would this be an appropriate place to request a member title? Or are there criteria I haven't met... If possible, I'd like "I <3 custom subs" If not, everyone go about their business.
  13. I'm assuming this is a 4" coil sub? It was STILL laughing after the 20Hz excursion test...
  14. You could pick up something like a Kicker KX3...it's a simple little crossover with (I think) basic line-driver ability.
  15. THIS. We had a Saturn coupe with 1/4" thick of dried lipstick in the cupholders, RAW shrimp under the passenger seat...woman was a mess. About the product- we definitely made do with some basic wash, NICE wax, leather/vinyl cleaner, Tuff Stuff for the nasty shit...etc. If we do this again next summer and work off our existing loyal customers, we'll definitely get bulk/higher-end product. We also averaged 2-2.5 hours a car. I wouldn't call it a FULL showroom detail, but for $55 (or $60 for SUVs) we did all right.
  16. No, the owner of that car was a bit nuts. Tried to argue down the price...it was obnoxious really. We did get to pick up a 350Z convertible at a customer's business and detail it off site though- that was a cool car. EDIT: Same deal with a 2011 Audi A4 with the 'titanium sport package,' a Mercedes E350, and an Acura TL...probably forgetting some of the ones we drove good distances.
  17. Hey all. Now that the summer is coming to an end, I just wanted to share with everyone here the story of the business my friend and I started back in the end of May. We ended up chatting at like 2am about starting an auto detailing business. He had been doing that the summer before, and wanted to know if I was interested in helping out this year. Long story short, we made a Facebook page, distributed hundreds of flyers, and spent maybe 2.5 hours in Wal Mart deciding what products to start out with. We thought it would be nice if we grossed $1000 between us over the course of the summer. You know, two kids looking to make a few dollars between years at college. We had of course had many job applications turned down- no one around here is hiring kids who go to school out of state. We ended up grossing just under $2500. There were sometimes more customers than we had time for- not only that, but we detailed stuff ranging from Jaguar XKRs to Audi A8 Ls to Dodge Vipers. Really crazy cars sometimes. Just thought I'd share- lol college entrepreneurs are still out there. If you wanna check out some of our work- search 'Clean Cars of Amherst' on Facebook.
  18. I've always hated Windstars. That's nuts though- is the box sitting on top there so the driver can stand up inside? Or what?
  19. Oh my god. Beautiful. What are they going on?
  20. Kolossus Flex is copper wire...
  21. Are you running your RCAs alongside your 12V positive?
  22. Haha just messing with you dude. If this girl IS as hot as you say though, I don't think any members here would mind taking a look...
