  1. I did a quick photoshop, and I think those would look alright on my car, but im thinking they probably wouldn't fit, even if they would fit a RWD and it was that dodge bolted on ford... although this one is a bit older so I doubt it would be exactly the same anyways. Im trying to get ahold of a friend of mine who would know for sure, but im pretty sure he tried some FWD rims on his ranger and they wouldn't fit, so chances aren't in my favor... http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b71/rusty959/13c0bf80.jpg
  2. So I was getting pretty interested, then I realized that those are FWD rims. So that probably means they won't fit my RWD car right?
  3. Well im not too worried about having trunk space. For that matter im not too worried about having a back seat. That being said, the minimum ill be doing is having a 15 like I said with the trunk sealed off. Btw, I do have most of that parts needed to put it back together, though most arent shown. the only think I really need is the cowl (between the windshield and hood) and a bit of a piece for the frame up front where the battery leaked on a previous owner, though I might just build that up with scrap metal or something. As far as the body goes, the only part that really needs any work is the front fenders, which have some rust holes in places, though nothing big.
  4. So Ive had this thing ever since the day the PS3 came out, but only really started doing stuff to it the last couple months. And now I have just moved, and its still 4 hours away from me. But now I have a 30 gallon air compressor of my own so I don't have to borrow one, and will be getting a welder sometime soon around the time I get it up here. So I will be able to finish sandblasting the few select areas that need it, and weld in things like the floor pans etc that aren't completely in. I don't have a massive amount of pics, but here are some highlights of what I do have. You can see it still needs alot of work, but it is coming along nicely. There was sand literally everywhere due to the fact I was sandblasting, so don't let it bother you too much. Before I left town I just threw some of the parts on there like the doors and fenders just for the purpose of pics, and seeing what it would look like, so here you go. One of the nicest things about it in my opinion is that it was originally an inline 6 car. I don't have that engine, but do have a 302 that needs rebuilt, and will be stroked to a 347. This gives me an excuse in my mind to not be concerned about originality. Therefore, I have pretty set plans for some fun stuff, like air ride. Also atleast a 15" btl or level 5, or an 18 if I can fit it. Im pretty open about most things on it really, since I have no reason to keep it orriginal. Ive been strongly considering flaring the fenders quite a bit, and maybe doing something with the front and rear "bumpers." So let me know what you think, and hopefully I will be able to get back onto working on this thing in the next couple weeks,
  5. Nice seats. I went to see the game with them and the pacers saturday (I think I got the teams right... please don't kill me if I didn't) The seats I got werent that great (near the top) but then again, it was free to me as well. (free food too etc) Due to the fact I was so far away, I didn't get so good of pics, but it was still nice being there.
  6. im in the market for a welder... but apparently some people have claimed it, but Im putting my name in there if it falls through or something. I need to get my 67 stang in shape...
  7. Only difference is that this is actually of good enough size to get some quality leverage on it... Atleast you shouldn't have to worry about the screen cracking since it is an OLED screen...
  8. The main problem with caps is that they hardly hold any power at all, I think my 1.5 farad I got off a friend for dirt cheap would only hold my amp on without any signal input for a couple seconds max. Remember that is without any speaker use at all, just the amp. Therefore, the cap isn't going to be able to sustain your voltage with the amp putting out power for any measurable period of time. On the other side, the big 3 will help get power from your alt and front battery to your amp, keeping the amp's voltage up. If you want, use a dimm and measure what your voltage is at the alt when your bass hits. I guarantee it is a good amount higher than what your amp is seeing at the same time.
  9. don't forget a bike has a lot less wind resistance than a car, which makes a huge difference at higher speeds.
  10. Thanks alot for renewing my want for a talon... anyways, definitely a nice project car to have some fun with.
  11. most people with home audio boast about being heard outside and down the road... and while I could do that when I had it in my room... now I boast about being able to have it loud enough to vibrate my screen and the wall beside my head, yet it is hardly a wisper outside my room. Latenight BF2 FTW
  12. this is the best pic I have. Old school reciever, with two bigass tower speakers. Sounds pretty nice in my 5x5 closet. well for that matter it sounded good in my room before I put all my crap in the closet. It makes the immage blurry on my screen... and if I put my head against the wall, it feels like when I put my head against my winshield with my 15" L7 I had at the time... Don't ask me why I tryed that... As soon as I can pull my $$$ away from my car for a little while im gunna get me a better screen. Stupid air compressor... oh well, crt works for now. As soon as I get my amp back from a friend Ill have a couple hundred watts on a 12 inch to my right.
  13. My system should do fine, ive got 8600gts and a 4600... I kinda cheaped out on the processor but I was in a tight spot when I was forced to upgrade. I will be upgrading a bit more sometime in the not too distant future though. So I was pretty much set on the 24 inch, but then one of my buddies offered me his 30 gallon 2 running hp air compressor for $170... (ive been using it for quite a while actually) So I guess I am going to have to go for 22 or wait more for a 24... ill have to see what kind of $$$ I can come up with here soon. Thanks for all the responses guys.
  14. definitely go get the newest driver, some quality dx9 should solve your issue. Mine did the exact same thing till I updated the driver. (though I have a 8600gts... but it was the same game)
  15. The difference in cost would only be about $40 for me, so it isn't really that much... (if I get a 22 it would be one of the more expensive ones) The main thing I am worried about is lag etc with the bigger screen that I have heard some have problems with, but 22 is as small as I am going. But I do like the extra resolution with the 24... (1920x1200 vs. 1680x1050... which is actually sorta close to 1080p)
  16. So I feel it is time to upgrade from my old 17 inch crt monitor... have wanted to go lcd for a long time, but something always has come up that has needed my $$$.... last time it was my mobo frying.... but anyways, I have heard some people say on reviews and stuff that a 24 inch monitor was too big, and the response times just weren't good enough, even with the 2ms ones, but I don't see that with the 22's. So I am basically deciding between a 22 inch in the upper $200 range, or this 24 inch http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824112011 Its kinda interesting, but the cheapest 24 inch is the only one I really like, the other more expensive ones have atleast one thing that I don't like about them, such as a higher response time, or lower contrast ratio. BTW I play generally FPS's and RTS's... so a pretty good range of needs... But I like a lot of resolution for web browsing etc too... so what do you guys think? I know atleast some of you have 24 inchers...
  17. One time when I was making an order from them I just threw some in there to see what it looked right. I would go find it and take some pics for you, but we just moved and I have no clue where it was. If memory serves, it looked pretty much just like the kollossus cable besides it has the silver/alluminum color from the sides, and the copper isn't as distinct when you look at it dead on at the cut, since there isn't as much copper in it. Sorry I can't get pics for you. Don't quote me on any of that though, its been a while since I saw it and am not 100% sure on anything.
  18. if you have the welding experience, couldn't you get it done short of the finishing work with bondo etc and then take it to a body shop?
  19. free-air, it is easy to have a sub reach it's limits a lot easier than in a box, for that matter I had my dual 4 s15L7 free air wired at 8 ohms when I first got it wired to a home audio amp and I could get it to get to full excursion at less than half volume, probably only giving it 50 watts, so... you might have just been pushing it too hard, I'd suggest not doing anything free-air... wait on the box
  20. Thanks for making me want to put money into my revo again... yea, what is that? it never got close enough for me to tell... edit... or you could just tell us 30 seconds before I get that up... what version of the savage is it? so was the other one trying to run the other savage?
