  1. Nice addition man. And good surprise. I've always had dogs growing up and can't imagine living without one. How big is he expected to get?
  2. Is say bad unit for sure. This is a great example why you shouldn't buy from an unauthorized dealer. It may be a little cheaper at first but if anything goes wrong you're screwed. I'm sorry this happened man. Best of luck getting it fixed
  3. Lots of guys here on the west side. I can't imagine what justins doing now. And louder??? He's gonna be close to 160 now. Soo sick
  4. Man you live near one of the loudest systems in Washington, if not the loudest. Justin with 4 18s in his blazer lives in spokane. Iirc he's rebuilding though. But also siccostyle is over there. And his explorer makes me happy lol. Edit. If you guys want to check out some events go to caco and check out the team nwspl section. We post all of the shows in the area on there plus it's all guys in this area.
  5. it may have given the magnet a weird charge. thats how i magnetize all my tools. i wrap them in 16 gauge wire. and arc the wire across a 12v battery. steve did a "how to" about it. im betting it just did something weird to the magnet.
  6. score man! ive got a couple little woofers like that too. a pair of 10" jl w0s, some old 10" pyle sub and a 12" boston g1. gotta love free!
  7. I have klien crimps, the big 1/0 cutters, and the speed strippers. If you use the big cutters you can easily strip wire with them. Just pinch the wire and spin the wire til you've cut thru the jacket and boom stripped 1/0.
  8. he certainly picked the right guy to interview haha
  9. a very shitty two more weeks with that bosses attitude. my boss would be cool as shit to have my buddies come play at work haha. but thats whats cool about stereo shops i guess
  10. Just finished cataloging all of my dvds, I have just over 200. How many do you guys have?

  11. Singer did 12 15s in a similar vehicle, damn near identical. I think if this guy got some real help it could be done. May not be the woofers he wants but it's definitely doable
  12. I have a single 15 in a t-line in my room on about 200 watts and it shakes stuff on the other side of my house. Sounds great for movies and music. I love it. I want to add more power and use an actual subwoofer amp. Then it should sound really good.
  13. So do any of you guys bashing the Sony deck really have any experience with it? It's not a bad unit especially for the the price. Their new stuff is much better then it was. They have pretty much dropped the color label as it's developed a poor rep and have developed some very nice new products. The pioneer 2300 is nice, but only two 2v preouts sucks. You get what you pay for with these. If you're looking for nav I'd definitely go with kenwood or pioneer over Sony. But for a basic screen the Sony is nice. Don't bash if you don't know guys.
  14. What skittles said. Definitely a beast system though. My girlfriend has one lvl4 15 and now she wants another lol.
  15. @loudbimmer I've got some college experience but night classes weren't doing it for me. I'm going back once I've got some money saved and can go in the mornings. So hopefully whatever job I pick up will eventually be something I do with morning classes. So I want something with potential to pay my bills while in vollege
  16. Ya like I said i manage pretty well with my job now. I just am not the kinda person who can just sit. So I feel like I'm wasting a bunch of time when I could be working and making extra money. Who doesn't want another $600 a month ya know
  17. Right now I'm working tues-fri 11-6 and sat 9-6. This job pays my bills and gives me some extra cash but not as much as i'd like. So I'm thinking of getting a job working like 7-12 nights to give me some more money. Have you guys got experience doing this or any suggestions for a job like this? Most of this money would go towards a bigger system
  18. 10-4000 hz response? Nice. I wanna get some for my low lows. I'll use subs for my mids lol
  19. Just get a new tank. That's your best option. That looks like a good sized hole. Jb weld is more of a bandaid than a repair.
  20. Tahoes and like gm vehicles are by far most common. Plenty of room for Alts. Lots of cargo space. The only downside IMO is everyone has one.....
  21. Okay not all prefabs are that bad. They're overpriced I'll agree on that. But I've ran some of the specs on the decent ones my shop sells and the nicer ones aren't so bad. It's hard to get people to bu. The bigger boxes though. A guy comes in with 2 12s and wants a 3 cu ft ported box cuz it's not as big. I tell people all the time to get the bigger boxes because they're more per spec of the woofers. But some people are too ignorant or just don't care. Right now I'm running a single 10" jl w0 on some 150w mtx amp and it beats as hard as any of our 500 watt 12s on 500w in a prefab ported. Hits lows better and louder. But it's 1.8 cu ft w/ a 15" long 4" port
