  1. Good to hear. We try to offer customer service that is unmatched. We are all here in TN. I will go in and yell at my guys telling them how bad of a job they did and then send them a link to this post...........lol Gotta have fun.
  2. I was about to ask who here told you to wire the batteries in Series. We was about to have a conversation!
  3. As long as they are the same chemistry make up (AGM) you will be fine. The new 1005 is just bad ass!
  4. The XP2000 is a lot bigger and stronger than the D975. The two really aren't comparable as far as power is concerned. If you are looking for reserve capacity the XP2000 would def be the way to go!
  5. High 12s is the highest you are going to see if your pull is exceeding your alternator output. Think of it this way. 12V batteries are only going to sit at 12.9V fully charged with the residual charge pulled off of them. Anything higher is alternator power.
  6. They are at least 3 years old. Like others have said. Load test and resting voltage after being properly charged. If they haven't been maintained, then that would be an $80 paper weight.
  7. Bunch of replies on how to fix your problem, but you do not listen and still have the same problem. Oh well.
  8. Been over this many different times, but lets go over it one more time. With the 12V batteries the D and S series batteries are the same exact battery. Only differences are the D series has blue decals and no terminals (you can buy the 580 or 586 terminals if you want), and the S series has red decals and comes with terminals. 14v and 16V S and D series are different. The S Series are the light weight racing batteries where the D series are the heavier weight versions with more reserve capacity as far as mobile audio goes. XP series is only made for secondary battery applications and not made to be used under the hood. The XP series will give you the reserve capacity you need, but does not have the instantaneous power that the D series has. You would see a difference on the meter, but probably never hear the difference in a daily use/demo vehicle.
  9. The S and D version batteries are the same exact battery on the 12V side. Only difference is the decal colors and the S version comes with terminals. Thanks Emmet!!!
  10. Guessing you probably have Honda, so the odds are pretty high of you getting belt slip on a 320amp unless you do a lot of idler pulleys and get some good belt wrap. The 7500 would be a lot stronger than two 5100R. The 7500 is going to give you the capacity of almost 3 D5100rs. Now if you were to compare 3 D5100Rs bussed together v/s 1 D7500, then the 3 D5100R would be stronger.
  11. Going to be in Austin, TX for this week, so I will not be on the forums. If you have questions the guys will be in the office. 888.497.7693
  12. More smaller batteries will give you more instantaneous power, because when you buss them together it optimizes the internal pressure. If you had equal reserve the higher number of smaller batteries will be stronger by far. It will also be more expensive and more work. So, about 22 D680s or 16 D925 or D975 would be a strong option.
  13. Yes straight rotten egg sulfer smell and they would be hot with some form of moisture showing.
  14. The charger will basically read the condition of the battery and then either work as a charger or a maintainer. It will charge when the batteries are low and then go into float mode when the batteries are charged in order to maintain their voltage. Biggest difference between them and your Battery Tender Jr. is the ability for an Intellicharger to actually charge the batteries properly. the Tender Jr. only acts as a maintainer, because it isn't able to produce the amperage needed to charge a battery all the way up if it is discharged. The Intellicharger will both charge and maintain the batteries.
  15. Call 888.497.7693 and get an RGA from one of the guys. Send it in and we will take a look at the charger.
  16. Could it be coil smell you are smelling? Possible when you put the batteries in there the amp started making more power and the coils are warming up?
  17. With a proof of purchase through an authorized dealer you have a 3 year warranty. Just call 888.497.7693 and the guys will get you an RGA if you are with in three years of purchase. If you purchased from a dealer and do not have a proof of purchase most of the time they can pull the transaction back up in the system.
  18. The tech line is 888.497.7693. They can talk you through the issue and possible problems. They can also get you an authorization to send the charger in if there is an issue with the charger.
  19. If your charger is in green, then it should be in maintenance mode. If you have a bank or there is a small draw, then when you turn it off and back on it may go amber for a second or two and then go back to green. Best is to just put a clamp on the charger positive cord when it is in green and see what it is doings. Should be low 13v range and around 1-3amps depending on where it is in the cycle.
  20. Maybe your smeller is broken and it actually does smell like sulfer. Anyone else smelled this and said it was sweet in your vehicle? lol
