i always set my gains by ear and then hook a DMM up to them and it's always only a 1-1.5v difference..

oh yeah. you should get a DC power alt... look for Kyle on here... he'll hook you up..

2 BTLs.. get dual 1 ohm.. series the coils, then parallel the leads to the speakers. that way your amp will see a 1 ohm load. don't forget to break them in a lil... and use 8 gauge for speaker leads. It's worth it what electrical setup?

why keep the stock head unit? if you did that you'd need something like an RF 360.2 to flatten out the stock head unit's EQ curve.

4 kickers in that tahoe? i'd do subs up port back.. i've never seen anything else in a truck... and i've never seen port up ever. lol. and .. "hit the hardest" .. depends on what hard is to you. the lower it is, the lower the box peaks. i personally like boxes at 27Hz-29Hz .. but that's low for some other peoples tastes. higher tuning freq would make it louder but it makes the box not be able to play as low. so it all depends on your personal tastes... and someone on here could probably describe tuning frequencies better to you i'm sure

i have this mod done to my 97 pontiac bonneville.. i only brought it up to 14.8v though... at the alt... in the harness and at the batt it's 14.4v. before the mod i only saw 12.5-13v because the alternator is nothing without the regulator sense wire.
