Would it hurt to have too much box cause the measurements I have are for a 5.56 cubic foot box. I get lost on measuring the port. How do I figure the calculations for that?

Okay if the subs need 4.00-4.80 cubic feet and the smallest box I build will have 5.56 cubic ft. Will I have enough box for a port? I can build my box 5 inches taller and 3 inches deeper.
