      Want em all. But..... Shit.

  3. I'll have one for you later. Got a nice stock of platinum in the fridge
  4. I just received a new 5k to test today. I will video this 5k vs one of the 7.5ks and see what they do. I might do it tonight if I have time, I still have to clean the shop and build 2 subs. I am designing a battery rack for 28 xs 1400s right now
  5. So much work, so little time!

  6. We found 1 15" Full Dish Black Carbon Fiber as well. This can be used on any DC 15" sub built with the Reenforced surround. It will not fit the AR cone.
  7. if you do this test, use 1 run of OFC, then double or triple inputs for CCA, to see what is better for the cost. Already planning on it. I just got the CCA in from Sky High today. Planned tests are as follows. DC 3.5k will be used for the testing. This amp has 1 power and 1 ground input. Each run will be 5' long. Single 1/0 CCA Dual 1/0 CCA Single 1/0 OFC Dual 1/0 OFC Single 2/0 OFC
  8. Hmm Amp Dyno and DC 5k= CCA vs OFC. This one will be fun. Keep an eye out for a video in the next day or 2, I have a spool of 1/0 CCA coming from Sky High.
  9. Tried calling you guys today to ask about and order this, but no answer.
  10. The numbers to really pay attention to are the Certified and Non Certified. I dont fully understand the dynamic burst rms test so I cannot say. Some of the dynamic numbers I have been seeing are definitely crazy.
  11. DC 2k and 175.4 Dyno videos are on the DC Facebook page, check them out.

Some crazy numbers out of the 175.4

I was not expecting that. Shit.

  12. you basically just want to pay attention to the Uncertified numbers, since that is measured how most will tune their amps. Certified it tested until there is 1% distortion, Uncertified ignores distorting and just looks for clipping, Dynamic shouldn't even be thought of as anything of importance. Its how much power is put out over 1/10th of a second blurp from the amp. So its more like that MAX power rating everyone says not to look at. They market it to say the dynamic test is how much power you get on music and the others are tones, but how many songs do most people play that only have bass notes that hit for 1/10th of a second? you are wrong bro. The dynamic test is still RMS. It is not "max", "maxx", or "maxxx". It is not peak. The test does use a pulse rather then a 10 second sine wave but it hits hit fast and hard for about 10 of those "pulses". It mimics the strain on the amp it would see when playing something dynamic....like music. That test is legit and should still not be confused with peak numbers at all. In fact, i have found most amps don't do THAT much higher of a number from non-cert to dynamic burst. Usually it's a little higher, but not much. Due to the different amplifier designs, some amps kick ass in dynamic burst, some only see a small increase. But again, it isn't to be confused with a "if lighting struck it" situation because that is far from the case. I see rms as continuous power, not 1/10th of a second. If you want to believe the dc5k is a 10k amp on music because of that test, ok. But I would doubt any music I play had 1/10 second bass notes. So I will discredit that number when I look at the results. I will also discredit the certified run too, because it's not how I tune my amps. Good for you. What was the point of your post? You just want to say you dont like something because thats not how you do it. What do you use to utne your amp? 0db? -5db? Ear-O-Meter? Just for a little information, the 5k did just over 3000w when tuned with a 0db overlap. You are missing out on alot of power if that is what you are tuning with.
  13. I am uploading a video of the 5k on the dyno now. Didnt run all of the tests, but ran a few. Very nice numbers! I did accidentally stop recording. I was planning on running a few more tests, but oh well.
  14. Oh I agree. I know that no one will ever see that out of one, but knowing that realistically out of a 5k amp you can see a true 5-6kw is awesome!
  15. No kidding. I know those tests are not realistic, I do them more for shits and giggles. The numbers that really matter to me are the 2ohm and 4 ohm numbers. Those are the realistic numbers that people are going to see on a daily basis in your typical daily install that is wired to 1 ohm. The 3.5k is rated to do 1800w at 2 ohm and 750w at 4ohm. Testing on this particular amp did 2080w Certified at 2 ohms and 1099w Certified at 4 ohms. Those are very respectable numbers and OVER rated power at those ohm loads.
  16. Just retested a 3.5k using single power and ground inputs with SHCA 2/0 wire. Also tested a pair of 3.5ks strapped. I have pictures of most of the reading that I will upload when I have more time. 3.5k ratings @14.4v 1 ohm- 3500w 2 ohm- 1800w 4 ohm- 750w Single 3.5k .8 ohm Certified-3724w @14.23v Uncertified- 4438w @13.78v Dynamic- 6045w @14.22v 1ohm Certified- 3342w @14.34v Uncertified- 3916w@ 14.01v Dynamic- 4912w @14.30v 2ohm Certified- 2080w @14.39v Uncertified- 2188w @14.11v Dynamic- 2605w @14.38v 4ohm Certified- 1099w @14.70v Uncertified- 1252w @14.46v Dynamic- 1384w @14.64v Strapped 3.5ks 1.33ohm Certified- 7164w @13.97v Uncertified- 8562w @12.98v Dynamic- 10872w @14.11v 2ohm Certified- 6152w @14.5v Uncertified- 7257w @13.46v Dynamic- 8205w @14.01v 4ohm Certified- 3393w @14.24v Uncertified- 4169w @13.78v Dynamic- 4616w @14.19v
  17. Will test the 9k when it gets here. I am going to re run the 5k later tonight. I am not taking video yet until I get all of the amps here and get everything setup. Right now I am testing more for my information and for you guys to see some results. There are not many dynos out there right now and the people(shops) that do have them are using them in the shop everyday and not posting or showing anything online. I want to share my results with everyone, not just for me to see.
  18. Send me a crescendo amp and I will test it. I won't be buying any
  19. I have another 5k on the way to test. The 5k I have now was sent to me directly from the repair center. Is have been repaired 3 times now. I ordered a brand new 5k last week so I have a baseline to test against.
  20. But if the amp only comes with single or dual inputs then shouldn't that be enough and that's how it should be tested? Idk that's my way of thinking about it Valid point and they will be tested that way as well. I am also going to show the absolute ideal situation and how to get the most power out of your amp. You cant exactly fit 6 power and 6 ground inputs on these bigger amps either. 3/3 is the most that will fit. Just because that is what is on the amp doesnt mean that that is all it needs to supply the amp with the current that it wants. I am going to order a roll of CCA 1/0 today to prove that point even further.
  21. I am running tests back to back with very little time for the batteries to recover. That is why the drop down to 13.5 on the uncertified test. Ideally I would let the batteries sit for a few minutes between each test, but with so little time and so many tests to run, I just cant.
