Remember that T1500-1bdCP (1908 on birth sheet) I sold you? I ran that on a pair of SA8v1.5s... not v2s.. but v1.5s Now, that was in like .65/sub.. But I smelled them like once lol.. They took the power insanely well.. With that being said.. You need to be smart. With a box on their LARGER recommended box range.. you dont wanna run too much power. How much port area do you have too? Big ports tend to have a steep drop off.. so thats one more thing to take into account.

Keep in mind that that test on the 3500 was the original version.

the 100RPMs can make the difference of turning on and NOT turning on. Its insane, but true.

Thats one of the tradeoffs with a huge alt.. especially 3 phase Low idle output, if any. Smaller pulley *may* slip under load.. but the only other way that i can think of is a diff crank pulley (depending on ur belt routing).. and that can prove to be a bitch.

for most people, a D3100 is $370. You're thinking about 2.. so $740. Why not a HO alt ($450ish), and upgrade the starter battery? All batts really do is HOLD a charge.. not really supply. Thats the alt's job. Sure, you could play for a while on batt reserve (in the 12s, then 11s, then so on).. But I like to HOLD voltage.. preferably a tad higher.. 13s and 14s.

And could count on one hand how many times I smelled them. I was being stupid/careless those times. It took a lot to smell them. When I uninstalled them, EVERYTHING was on point.. Except a scratched motor lol I know, it's not a v2.. But I'd expect the v2s to be an upgrade to the v1.5s

You'll be fine. If mine stayed cool and never smelled on some full tilt, hr long drives playing primarily below tuning.. On slightly more power.. Then you'll be okay.
