i would definitely go with something in your budget. but the hcca is a pretty nice woofer. before putting the FIs in i ran four orion hcca 12.4s. just stay away from their amps.

but i dont always see an issue with running daily amps lower than 1ohm. when breaking in my FIs i used one amp wiring the t4 down to .67..about..lol

why not just an amp that does 3000 at 1 ohm?!?

i just ordered some rims from driveline customs and think you should check them out. not the cheapest youll find, but not too expensive and i am in love with my new rims.... was reading in the earlier parts of the thread you were looking for rims

alpines can get warm pretty easy but if the ohm load is not right for the amp i have seen these get cooked eggs hot.

why that amp......too much current and what fuse are you using?

less cone area but i believe can be made to be much louder. more air space, more port area, and the ability to handle more power.

and are all the same RMS? so youll need a ncie 4 channel amp. but something you can also use when you upgrade the components

nice. i am always impressed by pioneer as a mainstream brand. cheap stuff can be found but not sacrafice too much quality. and i love the shallow mounts. a guy asked for some of these glassed into his rear door panels since he was unable to use any space under the backseat of his dodge 1500

how many speakers are you looking to power? just two components? honestly, a nice clean and small 2 channel class a/b amp would be perfect. kicker has some really cheap 200watt ab amps for like $100 something shipped.

any aftermarket door speaker, most stock ones also, will sound better with a cleaner signal. you can tell the difference in stock door components when adding a good headunit. getting an amp can really bring your door components to life, and i would definitely upgrade the comps, just not right now. no point in getting an amp (which you would have had to do anyways) after getting better components because the higher quality, the more they will need and will sound like SHIT coming off of the headunit alone.

expensive? got a good deal and spent on three fi btl 15s what i could have spent on 2 l7s, or some small w7s. i dont find this expensive, not going to discuss price, but i dont think underground always means cheaper. just means not mainstream which is fine by me. who wants what everyone else has anyways? lol

i personally think the choice of ink is dumb, but you are set and not what you came to ask. i wouldnt take any of my advice...i always just let my ink scab and then peel everything. honestly, i have like a 3 day heal time before you cant even tell a tattoo is new.

the glare honestly does not distort the color in anyway. my dustcaps are green and pretty much the exact same way they appear on the site. but to appease you, heres a pic of a sub before installation.

not to mention how incredibly difficult it would be for financing due to the cars age, so the car would most likely need to be paid in cash. and i just think there can be a nicer use of 8 grand.
