  1. looks like 2 sets of 4s in the A-Pillars

  2. For Sale: Pioneer GM-6400F Four Channel, 600 Watt Amplifier * Four-channel car amplifier with 600-watt max power capability * Delivers 60 watts x 4 at 4 ohms, 150 watts x 2 at 4 ohms, or 75 watts x 2 at 2 ohms * Selectable low-pass filter (80 Hz, 12 dB per octave) * Preamp- and speaker-level inputs for connecting to most source units * Bass boost with level control This amp was used to run a set of Pioneer 6.5s and a set of Pioneer 6x9s for about 5 months. There are no large blemishes on the amp, front, sides or back. Nothing is missing. The fuses are good, the terminals are all completely intact. The only thing worth noting is that there is a large Pioneer decal on one side (in the installation, this side was visible). The decal can easily be removed. Asking 85 bucks shipped
  3. RCAs for sure. Don't know exactly what the problem is but I'd bet it has something to do with them. run them away from the power, check the connectors, maybe you have a broken pin... its weird about the stopping and rolling bit though
  4. they're quite costly (the rainbows)... otherwise I know nothing!
  5. on mine its like a little plastic push pin.. hearing from other guys though it seems like you might have some trouble... sorry for bad advice but in my experience they popped right off no problems
  6. youll be fine. i take mine off all the time. just dont pull any wires. be careful when you pop them off.. as a matter of fact, the little button that says "side cutain air bag" is how i have to take mine off lol
  7. looks like the unanimous vote is to drop it.. but alot of those are using the "gonna do both eventually anyway" reasoning. you do have a point about finishing what you started with the wheels, but to be honest it looks great right now, its not exactly hurtin for a drop. exhaust would be a fun touch... though you might be inclined to speed all the time. i know i would i vote exhaust
  8. in NYC the tickets are 50 bucks. and there is nothing you can do to get around them. even cops have to pay them. fortunately, no points or anything. also, i've never seen anyone beat one of them. i got one about a year ago for rolling through a light as it was about to turn, also at around 3am. i think its bullshit but what can you do?
  9. really? I kinda like my channel separation, I'd assume most people would. actually dude you know what your right. i didn't really think about the fact he would be using one amp for this. see i'm running one door off the right channel bridge and the other door off the other side. so yes they get mono signals but one gets the right and one gets the left so its perfect. adding tweeters complicates this (my tweets are running from another amplifier). so honestly i didnt think of that problem for him. but i do think it could work? especially for coaxials in a rear deck.. a mono stereo? if there is a left and right channel, its stereo. lol you know what i meant.

  11. what are you talking about, thats exactly what i said. just plug it in.. this guy is talking about some kind of difficult wiring when its very simple "However, if your plugging in 4 mids and 4 tweets to 2 channels, you might be better off bridging channel 1 and 2 and using that to power the mids and the bridge of 3/4 to power the tweets. im assuming you already have something being powered from those channels though." as far as I can tell, you were suggesting he run a mono signal to the tweeters, and a mono signal to the mids? lol uhh well what i'm suggesting is he does it as simply as possible. plus if he used the 2 bridged channels he wouldnt need the crossovers. you agree? that just seemed like a simple way to solve this problem... and these are rear deck speakers who cares if the signal is directional, they're all gonna be playing in the same direction... no imaging necessary its not his doors.

  13. ok your talking about a HUGE difference in speakers here. first off, decide what kind you want, don't worry about the ohms just yet. coaxials, components, and pro audio speakers are all completely different. i take it your building a custom rear deck? and i take it you also know what each type of speaker is good for? whats your front stage like? in your doors i mean... i would say stick to one thing. if your going to run 4 loud ass coaxial 6x9s, you don't need crossovers and you can easily wire them to the 2 channels. its super simple bud, wire them together to 2 ohms and then run that one lead into each channel. there are plenty of write-ups about ohms on the forum. definitely don't mix and match... and i wouldn't really suggest components because you won't hear the tweets unless you angle mount them. the rear window will cancel them out.
  14. I was thinking the same thing... leave it alone lol maybe just some tints
  15. well you can connect more than one set of speakers to one channel just by plugging in the wires... for example, many people power two subwoofers off an amplifier that only has one channel (mono block). However, if your plugging in 4 mids and 4 tweets to 2 channels, you might be better off bridging channel 1 and 2 and using that to power the mids and the bridge of 3/4 to power the tweets. im assuming you already have something being powered from those channels though. doing some reading will help you alot with this particular issue. what kind of amp is it? what kind of components? chances are, those crossovers are going to kill your power, you'd be better off wiring it active and using the high pass filters on the amp itself. I'm not an "expert" but ill tell you this.. ive run 4 sets of components (16 speakers) off one 4 channel. when you wire it properly, set the gains properly, ensure there is proper power and the amp can handle it... there's nothing that says you can't run more than one set of speakers off one channel.
  16. 18s will not sell well at all. my local audio shop tried it once. theres always gonna be that one guy who has the money to blow and wants the wow factor but look at it like this: an 18 needs alot of space, alot of power... its just alot. you will for sure have better luck with 15s... i know my friends shop did. once they started offering 15s, everyone who had 12s thought, hey id rather hit harder. i think 18s are pretty much reserved for hard core enthusiasts, like everyone here personally id like to run one, but i'm against a wall and theres not much room in my trunk these days
  17. its amazing that you got that whole thing built in 7:28 it looks really good im tuned for more
  18. the expanding foam is a really good idea, you'll get the protection of the pipe AND there wont be an issue with it getting filled with water and dirt. that has my vote.
  19. wait what your 19 but youve always had minis bagged? and stuff? dude why would you start this thread if youve had dropped trucks lol i mean i see your looking to save money, but an air suspension is alot more costly than a static drop and if youve already had that... i dont really see what your asking, you should know your options.
  20. why not just run it all active and use the filters on the amp? that way you can split the frequencies make one channel for the tweets and the others for the mids
  21. how long before he realized he was being glued.... like what did this guy sit down and start writing a book? wouldn't you feel that shit on you? lmao
