    I am not sure what 80mil kno noise is. Luxury Liner is a mass loaded vinyl that is usually used with a closed cell foam OverKill Pro. The closed cell foam is the decoupler. We also sell a product that has the closed cell foam already bonded to the mass loaded vinyl called Luxury Liner Pro. Spectrum is usually installed first then the M.L.V. layer added on top.

    Hey guys! We've been getting some inquiries about a product we used to carry called Firewall. Firewall is a ceramic coating similar to the Spectrum, but rather than block sound it blocks heat using microscopic glass spheres instead of dense materials. What do you guys think, sound like something you'd be interested in?

    80-120SqFt will cover the interior of most cars, including the doors, floor, and trunk. If you want to add the Luxury Liner Pro as well, you could use about 4-5 sheets.

    Yeah, we don't want to make it seem like we're slamming another company, we just want to demonstrate how two products can look the same but perform differently. This is why there are products that seem like they're less expensive versions of second skin, but they're completely different on a chemical and performance level.

    thats why i ask , NVX has aluminum back and Damp. pro is like .....soft plastic or rubber . (dont want to pull it up to add spectrum.) i want to spry it over what i have down now . ^^ quoted from FatManRepair, for some reason it isn't showing up as quoted though The aluminum on Damplifier Pro has a black coating that acts as a primer for the Spectrum to adhere to. If you are trying to apply to plain aluminum or mylar then a primer will be needed in order for the Spectrum to bond. Ken Edit: added quoted material

    That's kind of what i thought. It seems like butyl rope would be more useful for sealing gaps more than preventing rattles.

    This is a product we've seen offered by a few different companies and we wanted to know your opinion. Science says it won't do much for sound insulation as all it can do is add mass to the metal, but maybe it can keep panels from rattling by holding them together, or some other application. Just wondering what those who have used it before have done with it, or what other uses you might be able to think of.

    Fun fact while we are on the movie subject; Damplifier Pro is used on a lot of movie sets to help reduce resonance during production in order to save time when it comes to editing!

    Damplifier and Damplifier Pro will stick to most surfaces, but when it comes to an already applied coating it depends entirely on the coating's formula. Since there's really no way to know the coating's formula(at least no easy way) I recommend putting a small piece of something adhesive(some kind of tape would work best) on the already applied stuff and checking in a day to see if the adhesives seem weakened. If yes, then definitely avoid putting Damplifier or Damplifier Pro on it, but if the tape is still stuck as well as it was when you first applied it, Damplifier and Damplifier Pro will stick fine!

B-Stock Damplifier and Damplifier Pro are just like their A-stock counterparts, except the thickness varies +/-25%, and the foil tends to be a little scratched and dented. It may not be as pretty as A-Stock Damplifier Pro, but man is it effective, and if you're on a budget there's really nothing better!
