  1. i lol'd, quite a bit for some reason. not tryin to troll or anything but can you really not tell the difference from 36 to 57 lbs?...
  2. off the top of my head i think xls have dual tinsel leads and level 4s have singles.
  3. do your seats fold down? if so i'd go with 2 12s ported
  4. 4 15s drop in box in that car? not a chance. any reason for the diffferent subs?
  5. basing your decision on just xmax and sensitivity doesn't really work... from what i've seen the sensitivity rating is more or less useless. also different ways to rate xmax. seems like a lot of companies list it at 70% bl, but not all of them. i'd go with power handling if you're just looking at those 3 specs. i could be wrong but as long as you can control excursion so bl doesn't drop off you don't have to worry about xmax too much...
  6. may as well charging. love this charger *edit - 2 more xp1000s behind my front seats and a d3100 under the hood as well
  7. could do a middle vertical port instead.
  8. or you can use my subs my 21st = 21 shots, more of my friends idea than mine though. needless to say it wasn't too great of a night. been going to bars since i was 17, no age crap in china so it actually being legal to buy here wasn't a big deal. plus i have an older brother = fake id. i mean all azns look alike anyways so its easy to get away with
  9. why are you inverting them? looks? being able to smell the coils? i remember someone said they had done testing and found that normal mounting was always louder. i think it ends up looking cleaner as well, no wiring visible. recently reread this (info at the bottom) http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/12304-my-u2x-car/ important quote: theres more in there though. go read it lol. makes me wonder about the 2 cubes rear. need an expert in here lol
  10. plenty of really smart guys on here. one of the first things that came to mind though was this http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/126373-the-boswells-ddbeast-the-rebuild-for-music/ just makes me wtf lol
  11. when the fuck did alvin and the chipmunks start trying to rap?
  12. id look elsewhere. they don't have many options. try parts express. you can make your own i think
  13. who recommends?? you'll have zero midbass for what you picked for you 6w4ps. also keep in mind with that you're going to have your mids playing all the way up to tweeter range. it'll work, just don't think it'll sound the best. so basically you'll want your mids playing something from 80 to somewhere like 4-5khz then your tweets will pick up everything above that. i haven't used either of those so i don't know what they like. need people who know those to chime in. also i'm not big into sq, just know the basics of setting this up so hopefuly someone who knows shit will say something.
  14. that amp will work. just go out and buy some passive crossovers/bass blockers. just find out where you want it crossed and at what slope. so like 3khz 24db/octave (not actually sure what those tweets like but that's just a generalized example) crescendo sells em for their tweets. parts express has em. i think stinger has em too. plenty of places. all fairly cheap.
  15. i'm not saying you need to go out and buy 2 way crossover. i'm just saying don't crank it until you get the tweets to play the proper frequency range. so until you get your bass blockers.
  16. looks pretty good to me for 4 15s. then again i don't know much lol.
  17. i mean turn your volume down in general until you have it crossed properly so you're not having those tweets play so low.
  18. you're making your supertweeters play from 100hz and up... yea that's a problem. lol. turn it down and get your stuff crossed over properly. generally you want to leave your bass setting at flat on your eq. *edit - hatersgonnahate. his amp is crossed at 100 hz... those seleniums don't have built in passive crossovers. guessing that's what's saving your tweeters.
