Ok so I have 2 lvl2m2 8s on a RE XT2000DE V3 wired to 1 ohm and I was out listening and enjoying my new little system. Anyways after about half hour of pushing them pretty hard i checked a few things just to make sure nothing was getting hot. I checked the subs and they were cold? I've heard of someones subs getting cold but what causes this and is this any concern? I took them out of the box and the motor was ice cold and there was actually condensation on the back of the motor! Anyone else have this problem?

That's a great idea. I was really debating on what exactly i was gonna use to shim it with. I like manila folders, then thinner pieces of paper until I can't fit any more. Just make sure that whatever shim you use: curl it first so it doesn't push the coil off center. Alright thanks!

Yep that's the one i watched! Really seemed to explain it.

I know the basics of doing a recone. I've read a few things about it and watched a vid or 2. Just trying to get all the info i can so i don't screw it up ya know. Im on a tight budget can't really afford to screw it up.

I've also seen people use spring clamps placed all around on the surround and on the spiders. Would that be a good idea? Although i don't have much room since it is an 8.

i'd have to say the 2 lvl 3 12s would be louder just depends on box and amp and area in the vehicul.

Thats a nice looking amp but ya it is big. i was wanting to get this amp for my future system that im working on but after building a box for a dc lvl 5 15 for my civic i need something a bit smaller.
