  1. I dont have any experience with the Damplifier, but I've used hushmat and it works really well. It's been a few months now since I installed it and it remains stuck no matter what. Don't forget that I live in the VI so it's 80 to 90 degrees year round. Furhtermore, it's really easy to install...just peel and stick
  2. Unless, of course, if you get an alternator module like what Steve has. But, a bigger alternator is always recommended when running that kind of power
  3. Because they are usually DVC subs, meaning Dual Voice Coils. Instead of one plus and one minus, there are two of each. DVC subs allow for a more flexible wiring to the amplifiers.
  4. I have bought from Sonic before. The shipping was more than what I paid for what I bought but that's life when you live in the VI
  5. Is it me James or does the motor on your 10" *** look slightly larger? Nice sub btw. What plans do you have for it?
  6. Looks pretty cool man. I bet it makes a big difference in SPL and clarity
  7. one tire is the same price as my car...comforting
  8. Maybe thats why they deported him. If you break the law, they can deport you on a dime. But if you are married to a US citizen, you are entitled to reside, work and eventually naturalize in the US.
  9. I dunno but there's just something about those subs that I really like. Nice vid...do you have any of truck flex??
  10. I could just tell that you have a killa top end. The guy filming was far away and you still hear it as if he's inside the beast
  11. who's that chick in the back? oh yeah great vid
  12. ssaudio. but if this guy wants to spend only 6 bills on subs then maybe he shouldn't go in ssaudio's route lol. he could get ideas, though.
  13. Congrats on the new job. Don't forget to save for rainy days!
  14. Rusty, that is truly sublime. Love the color of the box. When are you throwing the subs in?
  15. cichlidford, fire the port up. thank me later. If you fire that port back, it'll sound muddy because it is necessary to have enough space after the air leaves the port
  16. The Kicker L7s definitely prefer bigger boxes, but if the box is designed properly you can make up for a lot. I had one '06 Kicker l7 15 in a 6 cu ft (NET) box, tuned to 30 Hz with a little under 2kW rms and it was almost as loud as my 2 15" audiopipe setup. It's just not as clean sounding. I have high expectations for the 2k8 version, though...higher motor force, less heat....
  17. now that's what im talkin about...any idea what's in there?
  18. honestly, i expected a lot more. somewhat disappointed
  19. nice clean work...those wires look beautiful any special reason for the 40Hz tuning?
  20. where is the box on your back seat with the port facing forward? lol
