No point in arguing with the man or putting him down. Alpine has done a lot for db drag on the west coast. He is the most visable one on our team. Between him and Brian they are out there a lot. Alpine and I have had dicussion after discussion about how to pull off both. Its really gonna come down to when the show is and whats available but, if its between working on the burban and going to a show, working on the burban is gonna have to be priority. If the truck didn't go down Alpine would still be out there....... Oh and to put things in persepective...........13 more buildable weekends until FINALS!!!!!!! and since this weekend Greg's shop is gonna be closed 12 more weekends.........

Personally, I like the idea. You know everything is sound with the motor that way and it should come with some kind of warranty at that too. I mean for him to have a knock her really must of let that motor go to shit. Oh well. Swap it out and have at it. I assume the motor is used, so make sure to change the timing belt before you drop it in plus, all the normal tune up stuff and you should be good to go. I hear its a weekend job.

MAN Friday felt like it was last weekend. LOL Well now I think about it, it was. Love making the trip to Sac and kicking it with the SMD crew. Always a Great Time. Roscoe and Dr. DB definately was an honor meeting you guys and I look foward in partying with you guys again. Bill and Mel "good times" as always. First and foremost man good job on this thread. Its folks like you that make a forum like this grow. I mean to come out and say you were wrong and please show me the right way is very impressive. DB Drag Usaci Iasca all of these organizations meter vehicles differently. However, they all use the same mic. I was reading the thread last night and there were two measurements mentioned. Kick Panel (Usaci) and Windshield (dB Drag) placements. Just between those two measurements you can see a gain or loss of around 3db. Now for what the common belief to a lot of people dont' know is that a 1 db gain is basically getting 10x louder. You might call B.S. but its basic math really. The measurement incriments are measured in .10 (tenths). so therefore, from 144.5 db to 145.5 db you theortically 10x louder. Now to the human ear its hard to tell .10 difference. However, 10db difference is day and night. What ISO said about dealing 160db is true. at that point every .10 counts. oh and doubling power doesn't automatically get you the 3 db gain anymore. doubling power to get a 3db gain kinda goes away once you reach the 150 marker. Once your in that 150 db club. You can't see playing with anything less. I hope you found some of this stuff helpful.

Can't you go to court? I know a lot of tickets I've gotten is reduced when I go to court. Its a pain in the ass but, to go from paying $1000 to $100 its hella worth it. The judge might be reasonable if you explain your finacial situation and that you didn't change lanes but swerved from hitting an object tossed from the car in front of you. Don't say the guy braked and you had to move over because then he might get you for tailgating.

If he truly is a good dog someone will want him. The Human Society can really help. I had to give up a dog once becuase of my Bitch Ass neighbors at the time. Anyway, the human society normally screens candidates as well as can track the dog for you and tell you what his status is.

Well man in all reality its not a big deal if your not gonna put the stock radio back in. I know its in the back of your mind from now on that the shit is hacked up but, it still worked. I'd splice the Alpine in and put it back together. Clean up as much as possible. Just to save you the headache for now. Think positive man, they got it to work and who knows it might of been a situation where they didn't have the harness in stock and had to take of the customer (you). Now if you paid for the harness then I'd be sueing there ass for sure (They might settle by giving that Alpine deck you want). Good Luck Bro.
