  2. Good luck with this...... Looked at doing the same thing with the nexus and using its navigations and music capablilitis and tethering my phone to use pandora/iheart. It definately the way to go. However, to do it properly you will still need a way to control the basic stereo functiions as volume and fade. There has been on recently done by sonic electronix that used a bit one (by audison) to control all the functions. personally I was looking at the arc audio PS8 thats coming out to do something simalair.
  3. wish I would of seen these before i bought my tang bands....... ttt for some nice speakers
  4. all is relevant. however, trouble shoot everything to do with wiring first. may have one voice coil out of phase. I know a pair of my dc's one voice coil was out of phase always even though on the connection was red and black it was always losing volume. it was bitch to say the least every rebuild.
  5. even more so. the back wave can be a bitch when using tones. could cause you to lose up to 3 db's. Now the question is did this happen on all frequencies or just a certain range like 40-45?
  6. Too bad you are out of practice. Its like a riding a bike don't even trip....... Do I hear a Monetary challenge?
  7. Yup Modesto On Sunday....... May or may not be going myself, just to smack a couple of you around in the bass race lanes.
  8. Back to Back weekend 8/25 2x MVP Arena officiated by teambassick.com 8/26 1X Audio Pros officiated by Sonic FX. Once dates are correct on TP I will edit with flyers.
  9. LOL......link to link to link Click my signature to go to our website, below our calendar there are links to all the individual orgs. each org has a calendar and their rules and classes listed. May be a bit overwhelming at first but, thats what the forums are for.
  10. http://www.myspace.com/video/teamnamtrah/team-bassick/23928107 FUCK HAD TO LOG INTO MYSPACE FOR THIS FIVE YEAR OLD VIDEO LMFAO!!!!!
  11. LOL at this thread. No offense to the OP at all, I just remember those subs. They sounded impressive but, number wise they tanked. They took all kinds of power too, just not sure what it did with it as they didn't blow or get louder. LOL I'd consider these to mid to entry level subs, for the money there are others out there. Hell if you are seriously thikning of trying them out hit up Earthquake directly and see if they have any "B" stock laying around, I'm sure they do.
  12. small block drop in is going to be a bitch to pass smog in CA. If there is a will there is a way. Best bet would be to rip off an ls1 from a camaro or firebird and drop it in.
  13. @ Home cleaning and getting ready for the weekend. As much as I look forward to this weekend I can't wait until it is over with as well.

  14. 8's are great for mid-bass only draw back is the energy the give off. 6.5's can give you just as good if not better mid-bass if applied correctly 6.5s are also hardly ever used in a true 3-way set up as a dedicated midrange normally something like a 4" or 3" would be better for that application. Buying a front stage componet out of the box would be the best way of going. Start off with the high end names like Morel,Hertz and go from there. The new Black Series from Arc has gotten some great reviews as well. You could part your components from various places such as ebay or CL. parts express pro audio line has worked well for some. You'll come to find out that majoirty of the front stage is not always going to be on product type but, installation and tuning. Don't waste your money on a componenet for the rear stage.
  15. ouch the t7158....I don't even know why offered this configuration as the amps that were available at the time could not come close at 8ohms. If they were the 4 ohm version each I'd more than take them off your hands. Let me know a price via pm if you end up going another route.
  16. http://archive.mtx.c...nderSub7158.cfm Man don't make me go home and break out the brochure and spec sheet on these woofers. LOL
  17. ????? you have a pair of mtx 7000 15? T7158 or t7154?????? I am a huge MTX fan of that circa and those woofers parameters no likey ported enclosures to much. I TRYED LOL. Bandpass may be OK but, if you are willing to part with them let me know. LOL
  18. If I had to call it. As long as it is OEM or OEM equivalant I would let it enter a less than super street class. However, if there is any reinforcments with metal or welds in any way it would have to be bumped to a Super Street class.
  19. No luck.....but man was it nuts.

  20. Anybody down to do back to back in So-Cal? We probably won't start quaflifying between 4-5 in Corcoran.
  21. Oh I know but, it is going to be a long day with SQ in the morning and SPL at night. Not to mention our first time offering it and I'd hate to charge so much for a new format right out the gate. It is a quick ramp up and nothing says by request we couldn't do just a single org event in the future. I am hoping that one day it will get to the point where will take all day because of the amount of competitors we have just in SPL and not because of SPL and SQ at the same time.
