The buyer gets what they want and I make a sell sounds like a win win to me. Plus free advertising is free. lol, free advertising is free hahaha. I'm doing 2 more builds for other people. unfortunately they are noobs and originally planned on going to the shop and probably getting some xplods installed :/ I stopped them from doing that and I am in charge of their build now I don't think they know what midbass is yet otherwise they might want it. If I find someone though I'll point them towards your free advertising though

pioneer lets you pic music from the ipod AND the head unit and you can find pioneer HU with those options that you listed too.

There are many general rules like constant voltage throughout a parallel circuit and constant current through a series circuit. There's also stuff on capacitors.... you should never have to use capacitance when dealing with any of your systems I hope though lol. None of it is really difficult, it just takes some research really. I learned in class so I had it done the easy way

Parallel wiring calculation: Rt=total resistance R1=resistance of first coil R2=resistance of second coil both coils happen to be the same resistance (+)..........(-) I...............I I___R1___I I...............I I___R2___I (1/Rt)=(1/R1)+(1/R2) and Series wiring... Rt=R1+R2 (+)------R1-------R2-----(-) Edit: ignore the periods in the parallel example... it didn't like me putting just spaces in there so it made it all squished together

lol, check out crutchfield, they have some helpful wiring diagrams that I used to use to help learn about this stuff. http://www.crutchfield.com/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html It really is hard to explain until you have a basic understanding of ohms law and parallel and series circuits. Just read up a little on it and you'll do just fine when it comes to wiring techniques

while still true, it increases the volume of space in the vehicle that is needed for the sub and box so unless you can afford that extra room in your vehicle, I would just keep them flush

UPDATE: I fixed the problemTHE PROBLEM: The voltage powering the amp was from a different battery source than the remote wire voltage. As soon as I got long enough power wire to run from battery under hood to amp, then the remote wire worked You learn something new every day

thanks I will have to ply around with google a bit. I'm about to watch tutorial videos on it now. Going from expensive software with unlimited tools to some free software with not so many features can be difficult. good luck Ya didnt have any luck, gave up on it lol. Plus the videos wouldnt load looks like a lot of it will be done by hand then lol

Think about power too, do you want to have to run a battery to power the amp and sub? or would you rather buy a plate amp (which can be fairly expensive). I did 2 12's in my room and it slams I want to see this if you decide to go for it

If you can pull it off then I want to see this. I can see 2 18's walled of in a small car like this, but 4!?!? lol how much were you planning on doing to the car too... like upgrading the alt, big 3, stiffer suspension. you may already know this but if you can afford 4 18's then those 3 things that I listed shouldn't be much of a problem. I love subaru too btw

It's cool brah lol. I have a Skar VVX-12 and 2 SA-12's. The Skar is for my car and the SA-12's for my house. I like both, but the SA-12's seemed to perform better in my enclosure than the Skars. Don't get me wrong though, both are very close to comparison and I will eventually go with 2 VVX-12's in my car even though my DC audio buddies will give me shit for it

electrical tape the shit out of a heavy steel clothes wire, lube it up with some ball joint lube, and push that bish through the gromet. works every time

get the OD of the specific 0 gauge wire and check out mcmaster.com for gromets the an ID of something slightly less than the OD of the wire. I'm an engineer, that site is amazing lol

I think you should go for 2 SA-12's and use a 1500 watt amp. I have that setup in my room now and it's bangin even though there isn't a lot of SPL (because of the large room) those subs can usually take more than 600wrms too so it's a safe bet. They go for about $195 a piece but you could probably get a better deal if you order 2 off of a sundown representative.

Personally, I like his Price of the City 2 album and his OJ and Kush his new stuff isn't go great (with the exception of some songs on Taylor Allderdice)

Thanks for that, it makes sense that 8's are good at high 30's, 10's good at mid 30's and 12's good at low 30's.... looks like 35 Hz it is!!!
