What Coil To Choose...
audiofanaticz replied to 8Deuce's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Ive read that more then a few times on Termpro from different people, I even think Rusty may have said something on here when he use to run 2 of them. As for running 8krms daily, Id do it After all whats the point of having something so big and not show it off Run it at 1 ohm!!! -
Searched With No Results. What The F$$k Is This?!
audiofanaticz replied to LoudBlazer's topic in Amplifiers
That amp is a POS Its 8000 watts is "over rated" PEAK power... 4 gauge power and ground inputs... I dont even see decent quality 1000wrms amps using 4gauge wire, they all use 0gauge power connections (theres a reason for that)! fuse: 180 x 2 =360amps x14.4volts =5184peak watts ruffly now subtract ruffly the 70% or lower efficiency rating and you got a 3600wrms amp And I dont even think it will do 3600wrms simply because it has 4 gauge power and ground with a extremely high fuse rating. But now that I think of it, if it indeed is a class a/b (even tho the site says both) it is a very non efficient amp, so it probably takes a lot more current to make its wattage vs a class d monoblock A Audioque 3500D would walk all over this thing imo not to mention your getting a amp from a trusted company that will do its rated power instead of dropping a $500 on a unknown.. -
why so cheap

Also its almost 9 years old, and has almost 90,000miles on it. Id rather have a 10 year old tahoe with 100k. LOL -
Never been a fan, but...

Hmm, what a old song, but good none the less. Maybe you should listen to some of Eminems stuff with Dj green lantern and jsut listen to the lyrics. good stuff!! sad that they no longer are together. Upon first listen of his new cd's after his first I never really cared much of them, until actually listening to the lyrics then I loved his other cd's. good flow in this one <- Benzino diss really good must listen!! Looks like I gotta put all the Dj Green Lantern mixtapes on a flash drive. I miss these flows so much -
Make sure to fuse both ends of the power wire, by the alternator and the battery. Just 1 fuse wont prevent a short from starting a fire. As for a hole in your fire wall, check on the driver side, behind your gas and break pedals. You will have to pull the carpet back a little bit. Every vehicle has unoccupied holes in the firewall for running wires, or other options your car didnt come with. Sometimes you may have to make them bigger however.

With your factory battery under the seat I would: Run a 1/0 power wire from your alternator positive to your battery positive under the rear seat (keeping the factory wire intact and still hooked up). Run a engine ground (preferably from an alternator mounting stud) to the cars chassis/body. Run a ground from your stock rear battery to the cars chassis/body (try and follow the factory ground if possible and ground at the same spot if you can) Then when your ready to add amps, simply run your amps positive and negative from your amp to your stock rear battery. Also remember you can always upgrade to a better battery later on (like a powermaster d3400) Make sure for all ground connections on the car try to find a thick metal place to ground too (using the frame is preferred but on a uni-body type car that maybe hard). Also remember to sand away in paint or rust to ensure a clean metal on metal connection for the least resistance possible!!

If your 4 channel amp has a decent crossover settings onboard, theres really no need for passive crossovers. Simply run active, run your mids of 2 channels, and your tweeters off the other 2 channels. Just be sure to start with your highpass filter all the way up (perferbly 5000k, with a very low gain, and a mid to high volume level on your headunit), and just go from there. You wont have any fader control (front to rear), but you will still have balance (left to right). Yea, you have a better shot of tuning it just right with a processor, but its not needed if you got time to turn dials and get things sounding how you want. Chances are youll get a more rich fulfilling sound with no processor and running active then using passive crossovers.

Check this guy out

Lol havent seen that one yet. -
It will work anytime any wear. It has nothing to do with magnetic fields, or the equnox, it has to do with the stiff brissles and the fact that your simply balancing it on its own center of gravity. You can take the handle off and it will still balance on its own, but wont look no where near impressive.

Never said it... But since you implied it, sure. They are a rip off. They made the same battery for how many years with no improvements on them. Why buy old technology when you can buy new technology for the same price or cheaper? Exactly! -
WTH was HP thinking?

Most likely the plastic shroud around the fan you are talking about is to suck heat away from your processors heatsink. It be a bad idea to cut it out.... Unless you want to burn up your processor that is. My mom has a Gateway that is almost the same way.. But thats what you get for buying a prebuilt computer.. You sacrifice performance and money for a pos pc. -

If your buying a optima new, your best idea is to not buy optima at all. Go straight for a powermaster battery that will fit your car. www.4xspower.com -
A green light is ok, a orange is a semi clip, red is full clip. At least on the big 10,000wrms hifonics I played with... The amps dont do rated power until they are clipped to hell (and the amp I played with was rand at 1.34 ohms with 8 16volt kinetik batteries and 3 dc power alts) didnt do no where near rated power non or slightly clipped. Any ways, unfortunate for you because you either got A) the wrong amp, or the wrong impedance coils Sure you could run your amp at 1 ohm bridged, but its going to get hot, the added heat will make your amp do less power, and its going to suck crap tons of current which you dont have! Now if you had a good 250amp alternator, and 2 big batteries id say go nuts and hope that the amp dont crap out.
