  1. The rf amp all the way, you will pay a lil more but worth it. The audiopipes are cheap, most are a about 100-250 watts away from their rated rms, and the same goes for the hifonics. The rf amp will do 1300-1600 depending on how good of electrical you have, where as the other amps with great electrical still wont be upto par.
  2. White girl would suck for bassrace. You want songs that have at least 30 seconds of continues bass. Something that peaks or sounds the loudest, where the beat dont vary much from hi to low bass, or big pauses between the beats. Lil Jon - Bi*ch Lil Jon - push that nigga, push that hoe young jeezy - air forces young jeezy - thug motovation Dj Unk - Back it up To name a few.
  3. why do people want to use this for wire? its so thin, and no shielding. :01nocomment8so:
  4. And I must say the black spiders are super rigid and hard just by the feel, 1 black spider feels to be stiffer then 2 of the brownish orange spiders.
  5. ^^^ Or playing it in a 18 cubed wall by itself while it sits their unloading. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJtg_8-8agQ#t=0m25s Or free airing it on my living room table with a 150.1 hooked up to 2 d3100s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WlCd-MnwpE#t=1m20s Or having it sit on the wall socket for damn near 20 minutes. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoID=44270091 And then after all that being put in the tahoe for a little boom til it died, and trashing the hell out of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1V3oMaXpMY#t=1m08s I can honestly say I never abused 1 speaker so much before it gave... It gets sent back to DD today for a recone, already got it boxed up and the rma. As well as 2 amps get sent out to DB-R for repair. A Iraggi alt gets sent to mechman to be dynoed & recased to fit my hoe and possibly built tougher, and pay for my PWK box designs. "sigh" my ups shipping bill is gonna be biggggg
  6. I goggled it and looks like a messed up registry. Install AUTORUN EATER from download.com
  7. That is the most biased thing ive ever heard... Either company if you blow a sub, your stuck paying for a recone. I was never called a Liar by DD, and im on my prob close too 10 subs I bought, and lots of recones
  8. DD... Customer service.. Whats so different about between the two? You pay for a speaker. They ship you a speaker. You play a speaker. You blow a speaker. You ship it back for a recone. You pay for a recone. You get your speaker back and play it again. LOl What is so special about the customer service you get from either or? Both companies pick up the phone when you call. Both companies are pretty much equal on price. Both companies do custom orders for their customers.
  9. Thats so untrue! You build the box just as if it was built outside of the car, but use L brackets to screw the wood together from the inside of the box. Just make sure to glue all your joints.. hahahah i said joints. mhmmmmmmm you can also get some chop mat and resin, and resin the entire box, and by any chance you still think its not strong enough add enternal bracing.
  10. Both those amps will be about the same price if christoph said $1,100 for the 5kw. If you PM Christoph on termpro.com forums he responds pretty quick.
  11. small as in .4 maybe tops unless your clipping bad, and then it will be something like 5.46 for an example, the more clipping bigger the number.
  12. enlighten me on how you will get the average of ac voltage, when your multimeter is set to dc voltage? A cars electrical system is DC current (direct current), your amplifier takes dc voltage, and turns it into ac voltage (alternating current) which is what powers your speakers. After you properly set your gain using the ac voltage chart and flip your dmm to dc current (which is distortion and or clipping) will tell you. If you have any dc current being displayed that means to turn your gain and or bassboost down. Ive done this for years before having a oscope.
  13. you can take your multimeter after you have set your gains with a/c voltage, go back and flip it to d/c voltage, if you see any dc voltage you are distorting and or clipping.
  14. Why is everyone saying to get 2 smaller 1000 watt amps?? I dont see the point in buying monster subs, then giving them nothing for power. I say 2 amps at least 2500wrms-4000wrms or you may as well downgrade to a L 7 and get your little 1000 watt amps.
  15. phenix gold rsd's. 6.5 inch components. $80 per pair.
  16. type r's can take some abuse and keep going, im sure you didnt damage it at all, just dont keep pushing on it. I hate when im at a show, and have the doors open for people to check it all out but they feel the need to push on the speakers non stop, kid after kid. I almost need to get a sign that says please dont touch LOL FIs will still be around and still a good brand speaker. Tho the hype or talk might not be as big as it is now down the road. FI and DC for example are newer companies so theres big talk about them and everyone buying the subs. Down the road im sure there will be another new audio company and all the sub talk will be of that. Just becuase you wont hear about FI as much no more wont mean they aint great speakers, just means people are grabbing the next cool thing. It happened with DD, T3, Treo, audiopulse. Its just a trend thing. So you got no worries.
  17. x2 That is a very nice banner, really like the amp behind the sub.
  18. Its my new bed, went from a waterbed to a really soft sealy matteress. Those 80 pound woofers sink right in just like my fat ass LOL The silver is where the speaker was rubbing, the coils should be looking like copper or copper colored Something like this coil (only mine are flat wound wires not round like traditional speakers) Here is a shot of the speaker on a flat hard surface for ya to show the height.
  19. heh thanks, at least someone appreciates the help note*** this rubbing is not from me just pushing on my cone, so dont be worried about running the speaker right away by doing it a few times. This speaker has been abused on the wall socket, free aired, unloaded in a box almost 4 times to big for it etc.. and it finally gave out last night. No worries tho. Also some speakers brands will rub more/less when you push off center on the cones. This is a good/bad thing, it depends on what your after mostly. A tighter gap in the magnet that the voicecoil glides in and out off will yield a better cone control and power handling, but rub very easily I believe, where as a looser gap wont rub as much, have a tad worse cone control, and not handle power as good. This is what is nice with FI woofers where they give you the option of a daily or spl sub. The spl sub has a tighter gap then the daily.
  20. That wasnt to great of a pic, so i snapped a couple more qucik
  21. it really depends on the speaker. Something such as DD, DC, FI, AA, are going to have a thicker former which really wont bend, but a cheaper speaker like sony or pioneer (something walmart grade) will bend fairly easy since there is nothing to them and your looking at a former that is thinner then a aluminum can, vs one on my dd for instance that is about 1/8 inch thick. I got a picture of my sub that Ive been abusing the crap out of for the last few months, it will show you what rubbing is/does to your voice coil. just give me a min to get it from my phone
  22. no, your appling un even pressure on the cone throwing the voicecoil off axis allowing it to rub on the gap of the manet. do this to much you may bend the former/voice coil, or rub thru the voice coil windings.
