if you do get a bestbuy card, make sure its a instore card that can only be used at bestbuy, and not a bestbuy mastercard that will work where ever. I got a best buy mastercard and I get raped with $75 annueal fees, and like 21% interest, but yet my credit score is a 710 or someplace around there.

As the title said, its finally done for. I may have possablly been able to run just one coil on the sub, but at this point i felt I was really risking blowing the amp so I cut her open heres a video of what my coil looks like and what not. And a direct link to the video, HD video should be avaible shortly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJ3fykD_N1s

Very nice cards, and I see you stuck with EVGA.. However, email EVGA and tell them you got a bunk card, they will most likely RMA it for you at the price of shipping!! I have done this with my 9800GTX that puked on me a few months ago. -
coke with mixed drinks, otherwise pepsi hands down

IMO the search button fails at words that dont consist of more then 3 letters. See how good it works, try dc vs fi, or fi vs dc and see the wonderful results

Ebay Fees?
audiofanaticz replied to *1LOWSUV*'s topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Im interested in paypal fees. Almost everyone I ever paid with paypal never charged a fee, nor did I notice a fee from getting my money thru paypal. But every now and then you see a seller in the classifieds wanting paypal fees to be paid buy buyer too. And like I said ive never noticed nothing yet with paying and receiving money with paypal. -
I say by the quality and look of the instal with those other mids and tweets on the top of the box. He dont care, Looks like he just wants it to be loud and is happy with it. Maybe his insperation is them guys in brazil Im sure once something goes wrong, he will be more concerned with everything, hopefully

yes that is pretty much it. Most of the companies that sell recones now tho have the spider, former/coil, cone, and surround all glued together in one piece making recones super fast and easy. All you mainly worry about is setting the recone in the gap and spacing it out proper, glue the spider down. glue the surround down. Remove the spacing shims from the gap, glue the dustcap down.

New Hat

Did you get your name embroidered in your underware too? lol jk I like the hat mang! -
Flush mounting the tweeters will usally have some sort of a cup that the tweet rests in, then you just cut a hole in the door panel or where ever your mounting the tweeters (just make sure you have enough clearence behind the panel or where ever your mounting them before cutting a hole). Theres a lot of different ways for securing the flushmount tweeters in. It seems to vary with company to company. I know Alpine uses a flush mount cub that goes thru the hole and the back side of the cup is threaded and comes with a big nut so to say you screw on agaist the back and this holds them in place really tight. I really think alpine has the best setup for mounting imo. Diamond audio also uses the same technique as the alpines. Then some other companies use just little metal brackets that are bent kinda funky and they get screwed into the tweeter cup with a screw, but these prongs never seem to hold completly tight and bend sometimes over time or get a little loose. I guess some of these brackets work better then others, some have 4 tabs while some only have 2 tabs that hold the tweeter tight to the door. I know the Power Acoustik NB.1 and NB.2 use the 2 prong metal tabs to hold them in. Im trying to find pics of the mounting hardware for this style but not much luck.

they are most likely better then anythign else in your list.

Ive installed a few of these 105s, and lets say that their ipod speed is super fast. It blows away the 9886, and 9887, and the alpine media deck from last year. Its instant, You can scan thru songs thru the deck faster then thru the ipod itself. The usb cable is faster thus why alpine is using a usb to ipod cable for it, but you still have your newer style ai net hookups in the back which may normally be used up by the ipod cable. So we got am/fm/cd, ipod, usb, 3 sets of 2volt preouts, hd, sat radio, and bluetooth ready, bass engine pro, not to mention imprint compatable. I havent seen a headunit yet with better ipod controls then alpine. Maybe you should read up a tad more on these headunits. Because I kinda like it more then my current headunit, and the price is outstandingly good! http://news.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/10381/546459.html the cda-105 is almost idienical to the cda-9886 but from what Ive noticed its lacking on 2 things. The 4volt pre outs, and the nicer display.

Little out of your budget but pretty decent and new for 2009 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500CDA105/Alp...tures_and_specs You can find em for about 170ish online.

And this is most likely caused by clipping the preout signal on the headunit.

http://www.soundmekanix.com/2007Website/Fr...age2007new.html But I think midwest spl maybe doing Chi or IL now, but they are not DB Drag or affiliated with it unless its changed. They are running their own format but using a termlab as a meter and not a audiocontrol mic. There is a show this weekend (sunday) At NWTC Its a technical collage, and they are having a car show, along with db drag as a side show. So it maybe worth the 3 hour drive to check it out and get yourslef metered check out a bunch of loud cars and what not. It be cool to get more competitors to come. Its the first db drag/bassrace show of 2009. I think physclone may also be offerd as well as a new class for begunieers. Even info. Northeast Wisconsin Technical Center 2740 West Mason St Green Bay, Wi May 3rd Starts at 10:00Am Check the sound mekanix site often. and register for the message forums
