  1. The set screw ones like i got I dont care for but I get them because I dont want to solder a million lugs, in my case I got 18runs, 18 fuse holder, and would of been 36 lugs to solder. I really need to buy a crimpers badly though. LOL Why I dont like the setscrew type is because I crank my setscrews so damn tight that the tiny screw that holds the adapter to the plastic snapped. But thats not the products fault though since i like things super tight.
  2. Id put the washer under the lug so its not on plastic and then tighten that bottom nut back down. That bolt goes through to the bottom, there should be a black plastic cap under each bolt that you can pry off to gain access to the bolt head. Wish I would of took a picture but they are the same as this style that I had beak on me from wrenching on them too hard. Remove the cap, get access to the hole, put new screw in it and fixed.
  3. Its a generic fuse holder that everyone uses and slaps their name on, its not sky highs fault. These where also not meant to be used with thick lugs, but your typical ring terminals. If you take the bottom nut off and go washer, ring terminal, nut, washer, fuse, washer, nut it will fit. It is just a bolt that runs through plastic. It is either molded to the shape of the plastic so it wont spin, or there is a little black circular cap that pops off under each post//bolt and you can than attach a socket so the nut can be tightened back up. After all, it had to have been done that way one it was built or how else would you get that nut on if it would just spin and spin. Or you can just grind off the ends of the clear plastic piece, which I had to do when using them with 4/0.
  4. Those are only 400wrms ratings on the rfp-1212 with the steal baskets The rfr-2212 had the 1000wrms rating with a diecast basket and 4inch coils. Also known as the punch power dvc
  5. Nope, long before that IMPP crap, took me a bit to find them on google, but once I seen a model number for the 10inch that was 350 watts it was easy to find the 12inch model number. lol I edited the above post with pics
  6. Think it was something like 22 Image Dynamics in a walled Blazer with a clam shell. First sub was a Jensen 10inch in a tube from walmart for $80ish. Oddly enough this is the same model, its amazing how google images can take you back I had it hooked up to something like this, I cant remember the brand no more, but I know it had a microphone though, but it wasnt for karaoke. The next pair of woofers where some Pioneer 400 watt subs with the ohm logo and said pioneer or 400 watts in blue letters. I only got them because a neigbor gave me a old Q-logic bandpass box. These went in my moms aerostar with a old Orion cobalt 4030 or 3040 4channel amp that was beat to hell and back Edit: Took a while to find the exact model looking pioneers that I had These are the 2 12s I had And this was the q-logic box my neighbor gave me, along with a Pyrmid 15inch sub that had a clear cone but the tinsels where broken (first sub I ever fixed).
  7. I got so many free cds from columbia house, and some other one, dont even think I even ever paid that 1 cent for those 18 cd's either. LOL Edit: I think the other one was BMG music house or something like that.
  8. I dont think I got my first real cassette deck until the mid 90s, i thought it was so cool because it had a button to push for open and close, it was all mechanical. Really still wish I had that Technics deck!
  9. Yea I had lights hung around the ceiling of my room and everything. I think a lot of it had to do with growing up in a skating rink, it was my baby sitter, and my first job too 16 and a skating rink dj. Still would love to open up a rink of my own one day. So many good times where had
  10. I would have to say vinyl myself because my parents at the time had 4 AAL 15inch cabinets and my mom loved her Pink Floyd. I seem to remember always trying to scratch on a pioneer turntable and getting whooped because I scratched the hell out of a SGT Peppers record, think I was around 12 or 13. I later was giving a Sansui stereo for my room for christmas so Id leave their stuff alone. From there it got out of hand, I remember turning my closet into a dj booth and getting lighting effects. LOL

  12. bladeice is a UK dealer for a bunch of products/brands. He is legit, and a good guy. They are out of stock, and should be back in stock sometime this week to mid next week hopefully I am told.
  13. Apparently you already had an account created with that user name with 10posts, and this clayton account with 6 posts. I merged your 2 accounts together as 1 account, and gave you the UB6-IB9 name to go with it, and now you have 16posts since the merge. If you can not gain access to the account please let me know, but you should be good to go. Thanks
  14. They are using a different surround like you said, it is a bit stiffer roll, and with that they are using a spider package with less layers to accommodate the stiffer surround, but over all with the new surround/spiders the woofers stay more linear. All new ZV4s are using USA made coils which cost a bit more compared to the older Chinese coil, which allows for a higher temperature rating as well, but power ratings still are advertised the same. They are also now built to order and assembled at Sundown HQ, for the best possible build quality, unlike the old ZV4 Rev.1s that where assembled in China (unless you had ordered yours to be custom). The Rev.2 has tweaked the motor venting & some small tweaks to reduce THD. Motor size is still the same and pretty much identical looking. Jacob has said that the woofers can still be compatible with each other in the same install as long as both woofers are using the same soft parts as well. I think that is about it.
  15. Since the toxic kids are gone I will open this back up so any questions needing answer can be done so by educated people..
  16. actually several where banned but you wouldnt know that because you are a speculating from outside the circle.
  17. Opinions are one thing, bashing a product and its users are another thing, especially when the person doing the talking has no idea what they are talking about apparently.
