  1. For those looking into protecting there shit. Here's what I've been using. Cheap cameras: Harbor Freight Tools has them for about 30 bucks Get the Black and White not the color. I've had mine out working for about 3 years now and haven't lost one yet ( got 6 running ) There are plenty of DVR cards that you can buy on E-bay and what not. I've ran a few and some are better then others. The main thing you wanna look for is FPS or IPS. this will tell you how much the DVR will capture. The higher the number the more frames you will get per second. Full Motion is 30 FPS. You can go as low as 15 FPS and not notice much of a difference. Anything less then that, don't bother. Cards will say things like 120FPS, that will be for all the cameras total. So if you take that 120 divide that by say 4 then you will have 30FPS on each camera Take 120 and divide it by 8 then you get 15FPS and so on. Hard drive space that is used will depend on size, frame rate and how many cameras will be on it so it's hard to say how much space it will take up. I recommend that the computer be separate from your everyday system as it will slow it down big time. The other option is to use a time lapse VCR these are easy to find and for cheap. unless you have a multiplexor you will only get one channel or recording. Multiplexor. Usually in 4, or 9 channels this allows you to see and record all channels onto one source. Lastly when using B&W cameras look into Infrared lighting, Also cheap to get on E-bay and what not these will allow you to see in the dark. They only work on black and white cameras not color. Very nice to have if the lighting sucks where you want to record.
  2. Nice writeup. I use to do comm. systems back in the day so feel free to post up with some questions. I'll try to help out as best as I can. with all the hatein going on right now, we need something to protect our shit
  3. 3 of them can dry my whole truck. And thats alotta truck to dry too
  4. Costco sell these packs of little Yellow towels. Get those. Best towel you will ever use.
  5. I over power my Ma's and they take it like champs daily
  6. Not easy on the pockets but, B&C Speakers are worth the look. www.bcspeakers.com http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?We...anufacturer=327 I use MA Audio's in my truck for now and have installed them many times for other people with great results
  7. I've ran the mtx's and lanzar's and the Ma Audio's I by far have been impressed with the MA's still got them screaming in the truck today. The MTX's were fine and I didn't get much time with the lanzars. Quick and go install. Never dealt with the hifonics yet. RF's are a good second choice to the Ma's for me
  8. Looks good. get some pics when you build it
  9. I've messed with the Audiopipe TXXSPL's and they are a damn nice sub. Don't count out these new kids yet. There startin to show in the lanes as well
  10. I see plenty of groundpounders going to comps but when you have to roll against a big name/big system they usally vacate the parking lot long before they compete. It's too bad really.
  11. I agree with you on that but for some ppl its their only option. I'm not going to say a wall is easier but it's over 15 feet from Dash to my back window. Dasalottaair it there to get loud.
  12. I say it's a true ground pounder if ya ain't got a wall. Maybe some day I'll qiut messin around and get loud
  13. allrite thanks man. so bigger the port the lower the bass? or opposite of that...? I think you should find a good shop to build you a box. Boxes are fun and easy to do but can be expensive when not done correctly. There is a lot more then takin said subs, puttin them a box , cuttin a hole, and gettin it to wang.
  14. Sactown for sure. I could name a few around here
  15. Mine is too much at full tilt

    19,000dollar amp

300 amps is easy to come by if you can get 15k in power. I'd find a way to feed it. My electrical system goes into shock when I try to go full tilt
  17. Nice pics! Glad I flew back instead of driving though. Had to go watch my peeps from cali.

If ll I had was a 300amp draw for that much power, I would be happy
  19. Flat meaning every thing on the EQ at 0? No bass boost, Sub set at zero gains about 3/4 and the rest of the EQ is really close to flat
  20. Can't go wrong with audiocontrol? Buy what is right for the system and make it fit later. Nothing wrong with the Audiobahn stuff, Just get what's best for your system.
  21. I run all mine Flat for beat, and only have to turn it to bout 15 to get people grabbin their ears. Comps I'll push it to 25-28 out of 36
  22. Yeah all bad on this one :V i at least used it as a quick on of thats easy to grab but then it broke.
