have to make your own sammiches too.

  2. The positive connected at the yellow top, is it to the top post directly or is it to the side post terminal?
  3. Really need to find a new truck now lol
  4. I'm a strong believer in overkill lol Amps will be run at 1 ohm for now until i'm out of warranty and i'm sure of my volume control, i get "full tilt happy" and blow crap up lol. Once i get comfortable with how things are running i may wire down to .5 or get bigger amps (most likely bigger amps). I guess once i get closer to building time i'll make the final decision, seems even so far comparing specs to individual experiences. Looks like i'll be in either a Tahoe or Escalade build wise, found a caddy somewhat local in good shape getting details as I type this lol. Want to keep second row of seats for sure so space is kinda limited. May do what steve did in the 'hoe and drop the spare tire in favor of a battery rack, mine would be fully sealed up though since Buffalo weather sucks lol.
  5. i know, but my initial question was is it worth it to run 16v for the amps? I'm looking at the specs on the droppin hz website and if i had 4 7500s vs. 10 1600s, the 7500s edge out by a little bit on weight, ah, rc and cost. Most would think thats better but for those of you who run 16v and had ran 12v previously, which would you go with?
  6. Thanks! never too late to get recones haha. They're expensive as fawk though so be prepared lol
  7. ahright so, gonna run a pair of 5ks on my 18s and before i get too deep into it I need to figure out my battery situation. I am going to be running a pair of gm large case alternators from Mike Singer. They will be dedicated to the system and thats all they'll be powering. I figure 3 d7500s would be sufficient to keep the amps happy as a daily ground pounder at full tilt 90% of the time if i were to run 12v. OR should i run 16v and how many of what XSPower battery should i get? I can't say i'm staying cost efficient because of the sub and amp selection lol What's my best bet??
  8. dere ya go lol I can def. tell a difference in weight between my old m2 motors and these m3 motors. If i had the money i would love to get 2 more of these and 2 more 5ks and go apeshit ballistic in my truck but i want a house first and i'm out of storage room for more equipment lol
  9. Hopefully will or rusty or someone with a bit more knowledge can answer the difference question
  10. Thanks "B", i'm interested to see what you got up your sleeve. The hummer was insane as it was, dafuq you gonna do now?
  11. m3 lvl 6 18" vs. m2 lvl 6 15" soft parts vs. TSNS 10" soft parts The 18s think it's time the TSNS 10s vacate the premise Sick green caps!
  12. Apparently the Fedex guy had to back into my driveway because the boxes were soo heavy lol Next to a m2 lvl 4 12
  13. If it hasn't already, it'll flip regular ways. My phone decided it wasn't going to rotate before it uploaded lol Pictures to follow!
  14. Just received a text from my dad saying there are 2 extremely large and heavy boxes in my garage....curse you work for keeping me until 430. SOO PUMPED!!
  15. Update: 216lbs of DC goodness are on their way here. Still waiting on a few more goodies as well. Been down in the dumps the past few days, trying to make the best of this christmas and my fedex notifications definitely helped raise my spirits a bit
  16. Thanks! Im getting either a 6.0 gas or a 6.6 diesel in my next vehicle. My buddy has both and they are very capable engines.
  17. Yeah my buddy has hp tuners so that would have been easy. The truck did fall through though, airbag light, service 4wd and the tach wasnt working properly. Probably easy fixes but i didnt want to take the chance. Looks like the system is going in the ranger again lol
  18. Potential vehicle may have fallen through before i get to check it out. Pulled the carfax on it and the mileage from its last inspection in september from 197k to 226k in october. The guy stopped at my store last week and the dash had 202k. Not sure if he swapped out the cluster, or the shop that registered the mileage was careless about what they typed. Either way it'll make for a difficult time getting it registered and future inspections. Either way the system will get put into something so we shall see what happens.
  19. Checkin out the potential new vehicle tomorrow morning, 2005 suburban 2500 with 6.0l. If all goes well thatll be in my driveway tomorrow by lunch time. Than cleaning and planning commences.
  20. Some changes in the works as I type this, HUGE thanks go out to Cody (CJ18), Will (will77530), Rusty and Ana for making my next build possible! I'll post pictures as i get them but it's gonna be my biggest build to date! I've had a systems with 8s, 10s, 12s, and 15s, time to finally get some 18s!! Edit: Can't forget Rob (Thorshammer) since he built these 2 beautiful pieces of artwork!!
