This same thing just happened to a guy at my work last week. Something fell into his eye when he was getting product off a shelf above him. It swelled up and was pretty red, he went to the doctor and they used a q-tip to get the debris out. It took two visits for the doctor to get it all and now he is dealing with an infection in his eye. Go to the doctor and get it taken care of!

Yes, they are slanted...that is how you get creative and fit 18's in a 17" tall box. I have two boxes a ported and a 4th order bandpass.

18's can work...I've got 2 level 5 18's in my F-250 and my bed is also 17 3/4" You must get creative with your box design.

You have to ask your agent a lot of questions when you are getting your insurance. Most of the time they will only cover to make it stock again if something happens. We have an additional endorsement to cover aftermarket upgrades, grill, headlights, rims, stereo, etc.. We also found out the hard way...have an Alpine F1 ripped out of your dash, along with a bunch of other stuff and have your insurance company tell you they will only cover up to $1000 minus depreciation of the stock deck! You can get the equipment covered even if you installed it, they will want receipts for everything before they write the policy. Chalk it up as a learning experience and cover yourself in case it happens again.

Why is everyone so worried about taking their car to the dealership? We take both the Ex when it had the 16 12"s and the F-250 to the dealership for most of their work, never a problem...aftermarket alt, big ass whole cut in the cab/bed..never a big deal. Unless your system is causing the problem you should have nothing to worry about. We've had the alts go out in both under warranty and replaced and they each had the whole systems in there at the time. In fact, had the alt in the 250 replaced right before we got the HO, so we have a brand new factory alt sitting in the garage.

Yeah, you really shouldn't call the current gf a bitch Totally agree, the insecurities usually come from being wronged...or because they have something to hide.
