  1. Well I believe the Q's are rated at 1000 watts I'm not sure what impedence you are getting or what options you are getting, but they should be able to handle just fine. Never such thing as too much power... Just back down if it is a little bit too much lol.
  2. Why would ditching the last 180 turn help performance?? I can see how it would help because there are less turns but just curious how that would actually help. Not disagreeing just trying to learn something lol.
  3. Can't go wrong with a well built slot AND less space!
  4. I mean I'm not sure how much actual room you have to work with, but if you can't reasonably fit them then get 12s or one 15. It's better to put subs in the right enclosure then try and fit bigger subs into a smaller box. I guess you could go a little smaller than what they need, but again... I wouldn't go too much less.
  5. I would go with the ssds also. I feel like for basically the same price the ssd's could handle more. I could be wrong thou... I know a lot of people that compete with the sa subs lol.
  6. I think you should be fine also. A good rule of thumb is once you get past two batteries and maybe 2500-3000 watts then it is time for a new alternator. That doesn't apply in every situation, but I found that it is right most of the time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. I betchya that Thug Motivation would do work too along with the others already named.
  8. That would do the job for you. You could throw more power at those subs if you wanted.
  9. I would personally go with DC, but I don't have too much experience with Sundown or Fi so I can't say for sure. I feel like DC might perform better in the airspace you have to work with. That's a star studded line up though... can't go wrong lol.
  10. Just reread your question lol. To attain a voltage above 14 volts at all times then you need a 14 volt battery instead of a 12 volt battery. I'm not an expert in this area, but I believe that you also need to set your alternator differently so that it charges the new 14 volt battery correctly. I believe that you just use some type of voltage control module to fix it so that your alt charges at 16.8ish volts. I think XS makes one, but I'm not 100% sure.
  11. Do the big 3 all in 1/0 wire and it will boost your car's voltage. When the bass drops it will dip below 14 volts til it charges back up, but your voltage is going to dip regardless. I just did this to my friend's car this past weekend and he gained .6 volts and that took him from 13.5v to 14.1v. Now if you want 14 volts even after your bass hits then that is a different story.
  12. for sure. have to see what my next paycheck says before i say for sure yes or no... but i love dd so keep me updated man!!
  13. If he doesn't take that 3515 ill prolly take it. lemme know what happens with that...
  14. thanks for all the feedback guys. and the n2 sounds like a good option. what do all the options mean though?? A few of them I can guess at just by the name of the option but what do they (P chamber, Cooling, HiXmCoil) actually do??
  15. About to get an aq 2200d with proper electrical and i'm pondering what subs to use with it. I was thinking an AQ 18 or fi btl 18... but i wanna hear what everyone has to say and suggest. going in a jeep cherokee with 42 wide 23.5 deep and 22 high as the dimensions. I appreciate any and all feedback.
  16. I switched to it and the difference was unreal. It was for sure a lot cleaner than my old amp. I never clamped it, I got it this past winter, but freshman can't have cars at Michigan State, so I'm stuck just using it whenever I go home til summer and next year. So I didn't have a chance to do much with it yet. But I would choose AQ over JL personally. I have a good friend who uses JL everything and it sounds good for sure, but sloppier in my opinion than AQ.
  17. Can I get a price quote for the 175.4, 2k, 3.5k, 2 12" lvl 4's, and 1 15" lvl 5 shipped to 48170?? I know its a lot of shit to ask about but thanks in advance!!
  18. Still looking for an AQ1200 or you buy one already??
