  9. from working with some of the sundown/Team nemisis guys doing testing and from their previous testing they have noticed about a 1db gain with aero ports vs slot ports. when doing a design with the box in the rear of the trunk fwd firing you have to think outside the box and kinda imagine the trunk as the 2nd chamber and kinda think of it as a 6th order almost in some ways...What I mean is you have to reinforce the trunk and seal every opening and air leaks like vents or tail light or the notorious honda fender cavities....a trunk box is no good if trunk is weak it self here's some suggestion's Ill share that I got from Mr Brocks himself silicone around rear light fixtures then dyno mat over that if you have panels otherwise tape over duct or gorilla brace your trunk panels with mdf wall them side panels in trunk left and right double layer your door panels foam the insides after you wall off http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=256830504332651&set=a.235426176473084.79249.100000171104106&type=3&theater http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=256832120999156&set=a.235426176473084.79249.100000171104106&type=3&theater use the whole trunk as an enclosure too so the trunk has to be re-enforced http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=256832117665823&set=a.235426176473084.79249.100000171104106&type=3&theater bracing will make the side of trunk walls as flat as possible so bass wave won't be too interrupted takes a strong bass wave to reach to sensor from all the way back from trunk so a good braced re-enforced solid trunk walls willl bounce those bass waves straight out the trunk http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=256832700999098&set=a.235426176473084.79249.100000171104106&type=3&theater then you add deadener over it it's also crucial to keep amp and batts inside spare tire well too thats if they can fit it would maximix\ze box design options the thing that seperates music from spl designs is port size and box volume Just some suggestions I though might benefit you!:-)
  10. Sealed off firing fwd in my civic I lose 3-4dbs... With 2 sonic soundlab super sonic x 12's and a sundown saz3500' sealed off it'd barely do a 138, subs and port back it'd do a mid 143... Right now it's subs and port fwd not sealed off box all the way to the rear of the trunk as close to the trunk lid with 2 6" aero ports ....that way it'll do a 148... Look at terry Brock's setup, I got my ideas from him I've tried port back, port to the side, sealed off and it's loudest firing fwd unsealed off...granted every cars diff but there both civics

  14. I asked the same thing pretty much: View Postjlh2003, on 14 September 2011 - 12:11 PM, said: Ordering a dc power 270a alt and was wondering will a d3400 up front and 2 d3100's be adequate to support 2 saz3500's ran at 1ohm and a sax100.4 ran active For a mix of competition and daily use... RESPONSE: You would be good for daily use, but I personally would run 3 D3100 in the back at least for competition use. You are going to be pulling more than the alt can produce, so you will be pulling straight from the batteries while doing demos and comps. I like to have a lot of reserve, so the voltage will stay up and not make the amp work so hard.
