  1. Fusing just one end is totally pointless, if you have a positive wire in between two batteries, and only fuse one end and the wire shorts somewhere, the un-fused battery will burn up the wire and probobly burn your car to the ground. You MUST fuse both ends to protect the wire from overloading in case of a short.
  2. I agree, it's within the port area range so I say just build it.
  3. All that matters is that you can follow whatever you draw up lol it helps me to have a cut sheet drawn up in sketchup (or autocad) so I can see where I am going to make my cuts.
  4. Just run a positive 1/0 wire between the two battery's positive terminals and fuse both ends of the wire close to the batterys. And if you have enough wire, run another 1/0 wire from the neg terminals on each battery. So like this: Batt pos -----fuse-----------------fuse-----batt pos Batt neg --------------------------------------batt neg If you dont have enough wire for the neg run, then just ground both batterys with 1/0 to the chassis or frame.

  6. I trust myself and especially trust what Alpine and Ray say. There's more than a handful who have tested the 45's. I wouldn't use them. Yea it's easy to believe what you hear when it comes from those two guys
  7. doesn't torres consider the extra baffle when finding net volume? and I was going to use 45's to brace the corners, but do you think resining the inside and dowel rods will be enough? the bigger box will make for louder lows? Yes Torres does account for the extra baffle, my mistake lol I had a brain fart. Now the resin alone won't add any strength, you need to add fiberglass mat or cloth to add strength, but the dowel rod will add strength.
  8. You can.. That's what I did I thought so, thanks for the backup! Lol
  9. On the d'Amore website I believe you can download the tracks from there and import them to the iTunes folder.
  10. Ok now that we know the coil is fine, have you used the amp before on another speaker? If you have an iPod, you can use a headphone jack-RCA out adapter and hook those straight up to the amp an see if your amp is working right.
  11. Coil can look fine, but still be bad. Try taking a 9volt battery and touching it to the wires for the sub and see if the sub moves. It's called a "pop" test.
  12. Have you checked to make sure the coils are good on the sub? Take a dmm and see what the coils read. Also check to make sure all the wires are connected right.
  13. I'm just stating what I have been told from very reputable sources. I have not done any testing myself but the people I have talked to about it have enough experience for me not to question their results. I will say that they can add strength to the corners of the box and unless your competing, you probobly wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
  14. A lot of members on here have tested 45's and have proven that 99% of the time they hurt output on the TL. And if your doing double baffle, make sure you add another 3/4" to your depth dimension.
  15. Have you contacted them to see if they can make it right for you first? They are pretty good about CS Edit: Freakin ninja lol
  16. Oh man, I'm so sorry for your loss my thoughts an prayers go out to your family during this difficult time.
