  1. I'd spring for the samsung un55d6000s my parents just purchased one and it is a solid set and at 1890ish it will fit your budget.
  2. The samsungs, are real nice panels. What do you mostly watch? And what is your budget?
  3. Hey chode, if you don't mind changing one more name, could you change mine to sprkn_ranger? thanks!!
  4. Is it ok to ask the cost of the upgrade here? Or is that something that is best kept to pm?
  5. I hear it usually cost about $75 per fender, but if your handy with body work I don't think it's too hard to do on your own.
  6. Get yur arse out there and do work mane!! lol looking good bro! Can't wait to see it all done!
  7. What kinda gas mileage are you getting with the mustang? Cause I get like 14 City and 19 hwy with my 03 Tahoe.
  8. Supposedly you aren't supposed to run subs at full power for the first few hours of play time cause it let's the suspension loosen up, but the suspension is gonna loosen up no matter what so I personally don't think it's necessary. But that's just my opinion. I know audioque recommends you to do it with their subs. Edit- I think the reason for breaking in subs is because the suspension is so stiff that it makes the motors work harder to move the cone, which means that your coils get hotter and the less cone movement means less cooling. Can someone confirm this?
  9. Can your girl learn to drive stick? The snow issue is gonna get you in the impalas just as bad as the mustang. If the major issue is snow then get a 4x4 truck or suv. That's what I'd do.
  10. Lol thanks, I really pride myself on getting the best I can (with anything) just be diligent and smart. If you fall in love with a car cause it looks good then your not gonna make a logical decision cause your emotions get involved.
  11. Lol don't get scared man, not all cars are gonna be crap. Just go look at alot of them and test drive alot of them. After doing that then you will start to get a feel for how that particular car should sound and feel while driving. And as far as the fuel mileage goes, the Tahoe is worth it. It's such a great truck that it makes up for it in the end. At least to me it does
  12. Yea it's a crap shoot when you buy used. Especially from a dealer, all they care about is the money and they know how to hide things most "private party's" don't. I'd definatly buy private party so you can pick the brain of the owner before you buy, alot of times you can get a feel for how the vehicle is taken care of by talking to the owner, or looking at how well they take care of their house cause if their house is not clean/taken care of then they probably didn't take care of the car that well either.
  13. For a dealer, that's a pretty low price. I'd go over that thing with a VERY fine tooth comb before you buy it. Maybe even take it to a shop and have them check it out. Edit- just checked KBB and it shows that vehicle is retailing for $10,500.
  14. Yea the emission laws suck balls, but when we registered the Tahoe in our name we had to smog it and it passed with flying colors! I have a 94 burban that has needed a catilitic converter TWICE in the last 15,000 miles. Needless to say that thing is gonna be sold soon.
  15. And I don't think it matters if they have evidence or not, atleast if you already admitted to it. Which I'm assuming you did?
  16. Not sure what the laws are but the best thing you can do is dress professional, look the judge in the eye, and be very respectful. And tell the truth. That's usually your best defense when appearing infront of a judge, and know your guilty.
  17. X2, it's good to see a company in the states make a great product, at a good price, with the kind of support they provide. There is a REASON people are jumping on the wagon.
  18. I thought he wanted a good alt company? Yea I've heard good stuff about DC power, care to share your experience?
  19. fuck you and your black tahoe lol. there was ligit NO black hoes around me. always wanted a murdered out car now i gotta settle with a tn and black combo. ughh i wanna get a paint job so bad but flat black is kinda expensive lol. and op if youve seen any of meades vids (which im sure/hope you have) then you know the crazy room you have to work with It's not black it's charcoal!
  20. The mileage is a lil high at 143,000 but it is a SOLID truck. They kept great care of it and maintained the shit out of it, they gave us a 3ring binder 2inches thick with all the maintenance recipes in it. And they just had the tranny rebuilt 16,000 miles ago. Here's a picture. We bought it 6 days ago. Edit- the gas mileage is showing that I get about 14 while I'm doing around town but the tires are a lil larger than stock so I'm not sure how accurate that is. But the window sticker (which they gave us!) shows 13-18 city and 18-23 highway I believe.
  21. Besides not having to turn the gain on the amp up higher, the higher the prevolt output the less chance you will hear the musics floor noise threw the speakers. When you say "the musics floor noise" what do you mean by that? I've never heard that term used before. i think he means like the engine noise you can get through your rca cables, its like a constant fuzz in the background of the music, but usually if you run your power and rca cables on opposite sides of the car you get very minimal if any I'm pretty sure that engine noise is from having a ground loop. I think what he is referring to is different than engine noise.
