  1. maybe later. i don't usually do charity work. but i'd probably do something similar to the box i posted earlier for the platform 3 PSI 18
  2. well keep it the same width, but in the process you shorten the two bends... it's difficult to explain but basically you just have to measure down the middle of the port and cut off the width until you get the right total port length. there's a method i use so it's not so guess and check but i can't really explain it.
  3. Personally, i'd add a third bend so that the port and the sub aren't facing opposite directions.. like this but minus one bend
  4. Stop pulling stuff out of your ass, Joe. First off, as long as you cut out the port right and sand it if needed, there will be NO problems doing the port like that. Second, there are plenty of exceptions to that. in some trucks subs up, port to the side works best, in most SUV's subs up port back works best, and in some trunks, subs forward port firing to the side works best.
  5. like I did in this box.
  6. you should probably start shopping here instead.
  7. do the baffles differently please...
  8. Lol i was thinking the same thing
  9. I've done a handful of 4th order designs. it's hard to tell how well they work until you get them in your car.
  10. What brand HU do you have? i have an alpine and i had to turn my sub level to + 15
  11. Like i said earlier, Model it in sketchup and be sure.
  12. <------ Wants vids. if i can't fit an 18 in my trunk, then i'm definitely going to get a pair of these 12's
  13. okay 16 high, 32 wide, 21.5 deep. port is 13.75 high, 3.75 wide, 30 length. (22.5 physical port length) exactly 3.5 volume tuned to 33.75 .08 bracing accounted for. double baffle included all the walls will be 13.5 high
  14. here give me a sec.. i'll give you a proper design first.
  15. well then you need to make the box smaller lol. keep about 15-16 inches per cube rather than 20.
  16. I'd ignore that and just model it in sketchup. you can figure it out for sure that way.
  17. too much port area. port needs to be .75 shorter.
  18. Why is the port facing the rear? you've basically got a wall.
  19. Welding cable is nice. it's universally sized vs. certain wire brands so it always fits nicely into the connectors. basically it's just like any other power and ground wire. i won't get into a brand war here, but it seems to be a hell of a lot cheaper than some other stuff. electricity will always take the path of the least resistance. i'd personally use all OFC or all CCA if i was gonna do a build. i'd probably use OFC though lol
  20. You have too much port area. that's the problem. with 15-16 per cube, you should have a port length somewhere in the 30-35" range
  21. BAHAHAH!!
  22. 2? you probably should have mentioned that in your first post.
  23. for two 12s?? single 6 or 2 4's should do. 2 6's is too much more than likely
