  6. because this new alt actually sits a little bit higher on the bracket then my stock one did so idk why a shorter one would help out? idk i was thinking maybe it was a lil loose, cause usually h/o alts have a smaller pulley
  7. why dont you try a shorter belt?
  8. im not really waiting anymore but i do wanna hear it if it ever drops cause the chronic 2001 was hard. they do say he drops albums every 10 years so maybe this year
  9. the D3400 is group 34 battery. And for the rear do you have a budget or weight limit cause if not then throw in a D3100 in the back.
  10. when i got my h/o alt the stock belt was supposed to fit also, and it did but it made this weird noise when i put the car in gear cause it was loose. so i got a new belt that was half an inch shorter and that one was perfect. you might just have to try your stock belt and go from there
  11. ya i got it fused after the first batt and before the second with 200amp anl fuses but i just ordered 300 amp ones today. and i thought it was within 18 inches?
  12. thats a really generic answer, some cars are not unibody and are welded together, and having just a ground spot in the back will cause horrible voltage drops, it all depends on the car, most of the time it is fine, if you are doing a huge build with lots and lots of power then its worth it to tun that negative wire back there, you will not only get steady voltages, but will be better for your amps as they dont have to deal with a shitty ass ground, also you have to have the same size ground wire as the positive wire, so if you use a distro block with lets say 3 8gauge wires coming out, then you need to make sure that you positive going into the amps are 8 gauge, and if that power wire is to small then you need to upgrade both neg and postive to bigger wire, it has to complete a curcuit what if im running two different brands of wire to the back, would it make any difference? they are both 1/0 gauge and ofc but the - is streetwires ultra flow and the + is jl audio metawire
  13. the D1200 and D5100 are 3000 as socondary if you want something smaller
  14. well the D3100 is supposed to be good for 4000 watts as primary and 5000+ as secondary
